SUGGESTION/COMPLAINT: Steady Stream of New Champs Yet No New Maps in YEARS???

I've complained about this ~2 years ago (. After playing LoL for 6ish years I've seen MANY champs. Many, many. How many maps have I seen that have actually STAYED? ZERO.

Riot needs to add more maps to this game! Make more ways to play/enjoy the game and you increase your game's longevity. Period.

Money an issue? Monetize the fething maps then! I for one would pay, for example, $1 for permanent access to a new map. Multiply that by the millions of new players Riot has and it's a no brainer.

Want more monetization ideas?

$1 for the ability to create custom games with new maps ($10 for ALL new maps forever)

$1 for the ability to expand team setup on maps that are owned outside the normal parameters (e.g.: 3 teams of 2, 4 teams of 3, etc.)

$1 for the ability to customize other map parameters (e.g.: no ranged champs, no assassins, all players have same champ, etc., etc.)

And on and on. There are TONS of ways to monetize more gameplay options to give us LoL players who are bored out of our minds with the same old maps but who have no other option because LoL is simply the only MOBA out there worth playing.

See what I did there? I figured a little buttkissery wouldn't hurt my case....

Anyway, that's my 2 cents. Do something about it Riot! And make buckets of money doing it!

Take care.

p.s. Note that I said nothing about changing the frequency of adding new champs.

I say no because league of legends isn't about kills and stuff like games with a lot of maps. It is about learning what to do, where to be and when to do it. Chess doesn't have 30 different types of boards to play on. League is a mental game, not a 10 min match fps.

Yeah, I hear you. You're right, chess has one board to play on but has 133 different types of pieces to play with...oh wait....

It's no different, yet completely one sided on Riot's part. You claim it's about learning what to do, where to be and when to do it. That's applicable to three boards and 133 pieces or 3 pieces and 133 boards. What's your point?

And are you referring to ranked or non-ranked? Because last time I checked, both were completely different playstyles yet BOTH are ways to play League of Legends. And Yeah. ARAM. So mental, amirite?

The extreme popularity of flavor maps is proof positive that there is a definite market out there for new maps. And as I've already written, a market that is easily exploited monetarily (if that's Riot's issue with not adding any new permanent maps).

TLDR: It completely boggles my mind how ANYBODY could want there to be NO new gameplay options, or only one sided gameplay options added to a game. This will eventually stagnate any game.

Yes, flavor maps get a lot of play, however look up the play percentage after the first game. It declines dramatically and due to that, riot doesn't spend quite as much time developing side maps (not to say "They spend no time on it", just its not viewed as worth it as much as a rework or skin, champion, bug fix, etc.)
