[Discussion]: Yuumi Adjustments on PBE

PBE was updated & there's a ton of stuff coming Yuumi's way, below is all the stuff they have for her.

Personal thoughts:

  • I like the fact that she's getting her Mana Regen Passive back, it now gives her incentive to hop off her ADC & auto her opponents. This has more or less been reinforced considering how her Mana Costs on her [Q] & [E] have gone way up.
  • Her [W] now gives her Allies more damage, which is definitely going to feel nice, however I wonder how she will react to champions who have Teleport like abilites like Tahm Kench's [R: Abyssal Voyage] or Pantheon's [R: Grand Starfall]. Will she decouple from them as well or is it just allies that use the Teleport Summoner spell?
  • Now that her [E] grants Attack Speed, she might synergize with champions who utilize Attack speed even more than she does now. She's also more than likely not going to be able to use this ability all the time in lane as it's Mana Costs are so high even early on. This goes hand in hand with her Passive since now if she overuses her [E], she'll have to hop off her carry to utilize her passive giving her opponents a window to all in her.

What do you guys think of these changes? Are they for better or for worse?

Makes her worse in soloq, possibly better in the LCS where they can take better advantage of her E(by both having better communication and picking around it) but most importantly makes her less enjoyable/worse to play.

These are definitely for the better. She's a much more potent enchanter, but also needs to hop off her teammates and expose herself to keep casting her heals. Her poke damage will be lower, but her ability to empower teammates has gone way up.

I'd expect Q to get maxed last with these changes. It'll probably be E-W-Q max to give your ally the most buffs possible. She'll definitely want to rush Athene's still, but will likely continue to build more heal/shield power items like Shurelyas, Redemption, and Crucible to maximize the impact of her potent new heal and make sure she has the mana to keep casting it.

As for runes, I don't think her builds will change much, other than the fact that she should probably take either Presence of Mind or Manaflow Band every game now. Revitalize will have insane value on her.

The growing trend ive noticed on the subject of Yuumi and you can honestly choose who you want to believe at this point. You have people who do not play play Yuumi saying how good the changes are vs. people with nearly 100k+ Mastery on Yuumi telling you how bad they are. If you want to believe the people who do not play Yuumi be my guest i suppose.

These changes are not only bad but will promote garbage playstyles like Yi/Taric. Even if her WR rises it just turned the champion into a boring stat stick that can heal.

You might see a very few amount of people play it out of being autofilled but most people will opt for support they can at least mildly enjoy.

I like that her passive mana recovery effect is back.

Not a fan of the attack speed on e and adaptive buff on W. These feel like changes that discourage her from hopping off her ally and feel tacked on.

Well. Q just became literal garbage. Guess it is not exaggerating to say, Q is no longer exist at all. Higher mana cost, less damage, and even less time to hit the target, meaning that, you can no longer move the missile in a big arch to hit the target from the side, but you are forced to find the shortest way possible. You know, like firing it just straight. Guess you won't be able to even avoid minions in your way anymore.

Rest is manageable / adaptable.

By the way, your info is not too correct.
