I don't get it. I'm still a newb to this game, but the QSS costs 1300, and zhonyas gives the mage ARMOR as well as the active to stop his ult.
So why do people complain about him so much?
This is why.
Zhonyas' is a terrible rush item for any ap mid. Until its finished it does shit against zed, gives no Mana regent (huge problem) and even seekers does jack against him.
QSS Mr doesn't help against zed at all and for anyone has shitty stats just to counter zed who can freely build everything he needs likely.

Because people rather complain then actually try to counter. If it hurts their gameplay then its to OP and needs a nerf.
Not to mention you can learn to play any of these champions proficiently.
I believe it's more of his waveclear and ability to escape easily that annoy people than his assassination skills.
That's what makes everyone hate LeBlanc.
It's just something you don't want an assassin to have, getting pushed should be their weakness.
At least that's what people have been saying.
Because it's 1300 gold that puts you behind the power curve. QSS is also Magic resistance against a guy who does physical damage, and most mid laners are AP who have to save up for which is currently over costed for this current meta.
Because a good zed who harasses for free in lane while he farms with one of the best last-hitting mechanics in the game (his passive) and builds a Maw first so your burst won't kill him is a fucking pain in the ass.
