Why is Trist's Steroid free? Almost every ADC who has an activated steroid (not a passive like Varus) has to pay some mana for it. It's not like Trist is a Bad laner and needs help early game because of high mana costs, if anything a lot of people complain about how she maybe too strong! This could potentially make a scaling ADC who is probably too strong early considering how strong she is late, have some sort of weakness to exploit.

Ashe - Q steorid costs 40 mana Draven - Q and W (maybe not Q but i consider it to a damage steroid) cost 45 mana and 40 mana (scaling down to 20 at max rank) Jinx - Q can be considered a Damage steroid but this is like a half and half because with out mana it is attackspeed. 20 mana per shot KogMaw - W steroid costs 40 mana MissFortune - W steroid costs 30 mana Sivir - W can be a steroid if the ult is popped W costs 60 mana and ult costs 100 Xayah - W steroid costs 60 mana scales down to 40 mana Ezreal - Passive and w steroids both cost him mana (passive requires the use of skills) Twitch - Q attack speed steroid costs 40 mana and has a prep time because you need to invis

Caitlyn Corki Jhin Kalista Lucian Vayne Varus are the ADC's with some sort of steroid that is a passive with parameters to activate (Corki and Lucian maybe considered mid laners but neither of them even has a steroid anyways) and Kalista doesn't have a steroid but has extra damage with help from a support to proc it.

Tristana Has a 7 second attack speed steroid that costs 0 mana and is an activated skill. So why does this Cost 0 mana can someone please explain this to me?

Edit: I don't think it should be 40-60 mana for her Q like everyone else because I do agree reset champions need mana, but maybe something small like 20 mana. I do not view this skill as her primary wave clear (her E is) so IDK if i agree with the argument she needs it to be free to keep up in wave clear early on. I play this champion and personally going oom really isn't an issue for me, most of my damage comes from AA's anyways.

X champ has mana cost on steroid so Y champ should have mana cost on steroid is not a valid premise for an argument.

Although, I do agree tristana Q should have a mana cost attached to it (40?) because she needs to be punished in lane for using it.

Also note : tristana sacrifices attack speed per level for her Q steroid, when its down shes weaker than other adc's in attack speed.

Trist already burns mana pretty fast in a fight

For example take a level 9 Tristana, she has 462 maximum mana but for realism's sake lets say the fight starts with her at 380 or so mana Stuff happens, she casts all 4 abilities at least 1 each

Q costs nothing W costs 60 E costs 90 R costs 100

That's 250 mana burned 130 left over

So she has enough mana left for just barely 2 resets at most But what if Q had a mana cost?

If it was something like 20, she'd have 110 mana left Which is only enough for 1 reset

What's the point of a reset mechanic if your mana costs hinder it almost entirely?
