Is it just me or is it virtually impossible to carry a heavily losing team as a tank top laner

I main gnar and build pretty much full tank, and although I still do a lot of damage, I feel like if my team feeds hard early, there's just nothing at all I can do to make us win the game. Like, whether or not I get an ult off on multiple carries and stun them more, if they are super fed and my carries are not, they still win the fight. And if my carries just keep getting picked, I can't engage or join a fight at all. I guess I just feel like complaining how there's nothing I can do if my team feeds heavily. And on another note, is it just me or is it basically gg when a vayne gets fed? Impossible to land skillshots on because she can dash and go invisible every 2 seconds, unlike any other adc she has a stun which is also a disengage, and she is absolutely impossible to itemize against. Armor is useless, she does tons of true damage. HP is also useless, she does tons of percent HP true damage. I don't think I've ever seen a team with a fed vayne lose a game.

I get the distinct feeling you're ranting about a few matches rather than being objective about a large body of experience with Gnar, but it's just a feeling. And besides, I know them feels - I've been all over them feels.

It is true those champions that tend toward the "damage-carry" end of the spectrum do, in fact, have greater potential to carry the game more than tanks (and much more than supports) but that's only one of many possible outcomes. Ideally a well played anything can be the team's MVP but in practice - if the damage doesn't damage than it doesn't matter how well you play Janna. That being said, if you play enough matches and are competent, you should usually get at least halfway capable team mates.

And, in the end, Gnar has one of the most brutal, team wrecking, combos in the entire game if you can catch several enemy players clumped during a team fight. Can Gnar carry a feeding team? - no one can. Can Gnar be the most disruptive and crucial member of a teamfight? - very much yes.

On the subject of Vayne... you're overstating it. Just get 'tabi boots item 3047 , Randuin's item 3143 (if you're a tank [and sometimes item 3110 for non-Gnars). And, stop trying to duel Vayne after she finishes BotRK: item 3153

Well, it depends. You can do a ton as a tank top laner, but your team has to be there.

You can manage the entire enemy team with your shear bulk alone, but if your team isn't prepared when it's time to pass the torch there is just nothing you can do but beyond postpone the game.

As for Vayne... I have very little trouble against her. Maybe you just need a different pick for when she's around.

It is nearly impossible, but I have done it before, as nasus it was 20 minutes and team was 3-30 and I wanted to shoot all of them. I was heavily farm fed cause I knew how to cws, i 1 shouted the adc, and won the game somehow

I;ve played Malphite, ulted the entire enemy team, used my abilities, my team watches me, then I die. 5 seconds later the enemy team kills them and destroys our base. We had Fiddlesticks, Leona, Jinx and Diana... What to do? They literally were useless.
