Aurelion Sol's E Ability

His E deafens everything near him once he has landed. I noticed this a few patches ago but thought it was something added on, but after looking through patch notes, I did not see anything regarding Aurelion Sol's E muting almost all sounds around his landing.

I was wondering if this was a bug or not because it is extremely annoying for my team and I since they also get affected. Most of the time I use sound to know of any incoming danger such as casting E when he's off screen or casting ultimate (Though a big line would be obvious, but you guys know what I mean).
