Would Kalista Support Work?

NinjaToad99··2 votes·851 views

When I first started reading Kalista's abilities I thought "Support" before "ADC". I figured her passive item would be for her lane partner, making her an ADC or Support (Or part of a duo top lane). I thought her passive would be great for harassing while staying at least semi-safe yourself. Her Q I figured would be more good harass. At this point I wasn't sure weather she'd be a support or ADC, but then her W happened. I thought her W cemented herself as a support. Having the passive boost to damage for her ADC while also giving vision in the active. Her E made me question my previous idea that she'd definitely be a support. It reminded me of Twitch, and I figured that if she would be a support, this would just add to her style as a high harass support, making a sort of kill-lane. Her R seemed situational, as flinging your ADC or your Support into the enemy seemed like a bad idea most of the time. Unless, that is, you're the ADC and you have a tank support. So, do you think my original thought of support Kalista would work? Or would her move set just not be worth it over some other possible harass-based supports?

I think she is a bit like Ashe in that regard, she can work on both sides of the lane.

Her R is firstmost a save, before it is an attack.

Her ratios are all AD however, but if she would not be a regular ADC build, as Rend scales from hits. something along the lines of BorK, Runaans

Sadly no.She doesnt have 1 single AP scaling.

I was so excited for Kalista support. :((

Yeah, I guess an AD support would have no support items to build huh... Well that's disappointing.

Actually, it would be a different kind of support, but it can work. a lot of defense doesn't have AP anyway.

And for example I build Black Cleaver on Support Kayle, because it reduces enemy armor for allys as well, thus support item.

Kalista likes AS anyway to stack her spears, especially Runaan's so that would stack BC rather well too.

Throwing your ADC under enemies turret.

Priceless

If only the ADC didn't activate the second half of the ult.

Isn't it under Kalista control from the beginning to the end? What the other guy has to do is accepting the spear at the start of the game.

I can't believe how many people lack basic reading comprehension.

For those people: Kalsta only draw her ally in, they have to jump back out and they can jump to the ground away from the enemy.

That is one of the things that would make her a good support.

Wow we got a badass here -_-

I just watched the video previews where there is 0 explanation about these mechanics, Also since I asked without being an ass you could have just answered.

They didn't mention it in the video of her ult, but it's description does.

"R: Fate’s Call

Kalista repositions her bound ally next to her, making them untargetable and disabling their spells. During Fate’s Call, Kalista’s Soul-Bound gains a new ability, which allows the Soul-Bound to dash in a target direction, knocking up enemies they strike."

her w is a bush check not a ward. and she also gives the adc bonus attack on the adcs poke to enemies. and her ult is a free zhonyas to the adc. so yes she would work as a support if u worked hard enough.
