Believe it or not, almost all of my games are filled with nice people who never flame (and yes, we're talking about SoloQ). You just have to be nice and it'll ignite the spark in everyone else.

This is so true. Yesterday my last game in my series I had a ryze that was getting shit stomped by a Gnar and he was fumin and raging in chat, but not all-chat. Basically we were like don't worry bro this game is easily winnable and we praised each other on everything we did right. In the mid game it looked pretty grim, but then we all got the idea to goon squad the enemy annie so she couldn't land anymore stuns. Needless to say after that she spent more time dead and everyone on my team was happier.

No but seriously, I go out of my way to remind people that being nice < someone who wants to actually pull their weight.

Sure, everyone has bad games and bad days, but I always prefer the arrogant flaming douchebag that's actually performing exceptionally over the friendly carebear player just trying to promote civility whilst going 0/8. The mute button can go a long way, but apparently it never occurs to people that maybe it doesn't matter how nice you are if you don't have a vested interest in doing the one thing we are all here to do: win the game. Winning can take second priority to enjoying yourself if it's among friends and a shared notion prior, but other than that, that's the objective.

id rather have someone carrying their weight and onl;y communicating with pings than the one being a douche, specifically towards one person and forcing said person to afk cause they dont want to deal with him, after not getting ganks from said jungler while support was afk most of laning phase and their support was a braum on the enemy team
