New skin confusion.

I'm just wondering, if it is just me, or are the new skins really confusing gameplay mechanics?

Part of it may have been that the enemy team had both a victor, and the new thresh skin. 80% of the time thresh used his lantern, I avoided it as it looked like an offensive AOE skill. Friends in teamspeak mention that it looks like Syndra ball, and the range indicator looked a LOT like victors abilities.

What are the rest of your thoughts?
