Why are Chrysalis and Bone Plating the only viable Resolve runes?

The only other Resolve runes I see people take sometimes are Demolish (but that's a rarity nowadays) and maybe Revitalize if you're a healing/shielding support. But obviously you wouldn't do that over Aery/Scorch/Ignite or Electrocute/Cheapshot/Ignite as a mage/poke support.

If know Riot said they're looking to optimize the system to allot Offensive points and Defensive points evenly, but why are the Resolve tree runes garbage? The game would be a lot healthier if the ONLY defensive tree was actually, you know, defensive. At least on par with how everything else is offense oriented.

Thoughts?

i ve been stating it for half a season now. people argue the are the strongest but typically those are people who play damage carries and it makes it just a bit harder to 1 shot someone so its not fun.

tanks other then 4 of them are in a bad spot. to deny this is idiotic.

the biggest issue with resolve is the lack of any stats prior to 10 mins in game from runes.

15hp at lvl 1 ( 30hp if with inspiration ) is crap 135hp lvl 18 or 270hp (resolve + inspiration)

grasp is ok if you can fight in a melee match up in lane ,aftershock is very very situational(35 sec cd only good if you are engaging on a champ such as tank support bot lane, or ganking in top lane as either top lane tank or tank jungler ) and so is guardian (only good for tank supports with shields )

in the 2nd row demolished is ok for a pushing champ, font of life good for tank supports if the team knows to auto attack the person you cc and then bone plating. which is the best rune in this row

no armor or mr til 10 mins if you take conditioning which cuz its a 10 min gate or you take 2nd wind to have sustain from poke in lane. then there is chrysalis which is 50 base hp til 4 take downs then converts to adaptive damage. for a tank this is bad good for fighters/juggernauts. so once again left as a tank to take the best possible most effective rune in this row SECOND WIND cuz other choices arent ideal.

now last row we have overgrowth which is bad in about 85% of situations. there is revitalize which is good if you have a self heal/shield or a support with a heal/shield. and then unflinching which only is effective if you have used a summoner spell. which in all honest in my opinion the worst rune. cuz if you burn a spell to use it you cant use it again til that summoner is off cd or you have another summoner available to use

so taking all this into account tanks really get no hp from runes til about 10 mins and no armor or mr til 10 mins. so they are left taking bone plating, second wind and revitalize yes it gives them sustain in lane but no real combat stats to do anything with.

Because you have to not lose lane before the others kick in or become relevant, and people tend to find that hard at times, or people just don't take them in the right scenario

Second Wind is fine, and is good into champions with weak but consistent poke. Or who are poke-reliant at all, honestly.

Conditioning is actually really good if you can last those 10 minutes before it kicks in. It makes you immensely more durable later-on.

Overgrowth is another one that can be strong, but you have to wait on it. It can give you a good amount of health, but you do have to wait long enough for it to be good.

Demolish is...well, Demolish. It can be good, but it can also be overkill. Best on tanks with low turret-taking power, obviously, but can pair well with, say, a Nasus, or a Yorick, to shred turrets even faster.

Not much experience with the other runes. Don't use much else, tbh. They all have their uses, though, just a lot of them are a bit more reliant on late-game.

Chrysalis, Bone Plating and Second Wind imo.

The rest are kinda redundant (not including the keystones).
