Client and In Game suddenly very choppy as of patch 8.13/14, any ideas? Maybe my hardware?
Hi leaguers, I'm not sure where to post this but I'm hoping for some assistance.
I've got a solid computer that's never had issues running gaming in 4K resolution, including league, but suddenly a few weeks ago I started having some pretty intense client lag, upwards of maybe 8-9 seconds loading into game. I just moved to Vancouver, BC from the US and I'm a bit confused because I have MUCH faster internet at this new place. I was playing on 103-113 ping (I know, right?) and now I'm at solid 57-59 ping, but for some reason my client and in game performance is REALLY BAD! I've had moments where the game actually lags out completely for a split second, and the FPS is anywhere form 78-80 moving around, to as low as 25 during big teamfights. I've always played on maximum resolution and had no frame rate lag whatsoever. I was playing on 200+ FPS before I moved. I've also clicked Low-Spec mode and turning off client while in-game, and nothing changes.
Could this be my internet? Or something in my move maybe got jostled out of place? I've reinstalled league AND run repairs multiple times and nothing seems to fix it. HELP!
(I also noticed at some point that I had a ton of highlights saved and the client had a hard time loading them. Maybe that's related?)
Here's my computer specs:
Windows 10 Intel Core i7-5820K CPU ASUS x99-A Motherboard Asus GeForce GTX 980 4GB Corsair Hydro H11oi GT cooling WD 1TB HDD 120GB OCZ Vector SSD Samsung U28D590D 4K Monitor 32GB of ram
I have also checked that I have the most updated NVIDIA driver through GeForce. Could my graphics card have anything to do with it, or the ram? Maybe something is loose?
It seems to be just League of Legends, but I also have noticed some slowdown time with Adobe apps.
Thank you!!
