It is way too easy for both teams to ban the same 5 champs. Why would you put out this garbage and not just use that they are using to ban in LCS right now? First 3 picks both teams ban then pick, last 2 ban then pick. But no, instead you put us through this garbage
Because you see the last two roles, and it's super easy for people to just target ban the remaining roles. And there aren't enough viable champions for a given role, so target banning a given role with two popular picks ends up seriously reducing the viable champion pool. They explained this in their post. I think the new ban system sucks, hypothetically, but I also don't think bringing the competitive ban system in would be such a great idea.
Really? I've always seen at least 7 champs banned with the new system. And I may not be good at math, but that's definitely better than having six bans. Why can't you just enjoy the fact that riot listened to you, gave you exactly what you asked for, and not bitch about it less than a week later?

The way they do it in pro play wouldn't really work for everyone on the normal servers. The reason fro this is they are doing bans based on what side they are on and what the other team is. And after the first pick phase they will do bans based on what hasn't been picked yet. Also they are in coms with each other and their coach.
Have you actually ever used it?

I for one, will never ban anything other than champions that personally counter me. Chances are the enemy won't have the same champion they absolutely loathe. That's a huge net gain in my book.
