I just played against Vayne with this build: 
She was unkillable, unkiteable and she shredded everyone in our team. Could someone from Riot please check if it is healthy/balanced? Thank you.

That would only restrict diversity of gameplay. Melee and Ranged are balanced by kits and stats, not item restrictions.

And then you realize that everyone's still playing it. It actually created more diversity because now some people are putting more AP into their build, though still a lot of tankiness. http://probuilds.net/champions/details/Ekko . And on top of that, you're comparing restricting the gameplay of one champion (not really as I just mentioned), to restricting options for a good portion of the champion pool. Not a good idea. What if Riot wants to come up with some unique new champ idea? Or new gameplay or whatever. By doing things like this you aren't allowing them to keep their options open.
If there's a problem in balance, it's ideal to go to the root of the problem, not come up with a quick cover up.

Tank Ekko is still a very popular build on him, the nerfs actually created more diversity because you see a better mix of AP and tank, so I disagree with you on that.
It's okay to nerf an unhealthy playstyle for 1 champion anyways, not an entire group of champions and possible upcoming champions.
And as for Vayne, the way you deal with that build is to have your ADC build pure DPS and 5v5 teamfight. Vayne with that build will probably be able to 1v1 anyone but her raw DPS is lacking. with a good frontline protecting your ADC you should be able to win teamfights unless the rest of their team is also fed. I think this build would only work for Vayne top.

The thing is, the raw DPS doesn't. There's a reason why not every Marksman can build this and be effective and that is her max. health % true dmg and her mobility + one hard CC. She doesn't need to build much AD to deal a lot of damage (+BotRK, don't forget, is core in this build). She can also dodge so much abilities, but if any of them hits her, she doen't mind because of how tanky she is with this build. No melee can get to her because of FM (and mobility again) and before you know, you must retreat because your whole team is on half health and don't let me start on how good Vayne is in chasing (it's her theme and her passive). Yeah, theory good, but in game this doesn't work, especially when you can't communicate with your teammates via call.

It's like a 45-minute Nasus. He's going to do some damage when he pressed Q.
Most Vaynes don't make it to nightmare mode. This one did. And was a nightmare. Working as intended.

I like Vayne's design, don't get me wrong, but this isn't a pro-Vayne argument, although it might seem.
Anyway, Vayne is intended to be squishy as the only possible counterpart of her kit, this and similiar builds remove this weakness.

it was only a matter of time. too much item independent damage is what makes intended squishies build tanky since irelia. remember how she was actually designed as an ad assassin like talon and zed, and not as a fighter?
people could afford to build her tanky because of on hit true damage.
people could afford fizz to build tanky because of % missing health damage on his w.
people could afford to build ekko tanky because of % missing health damage.
im seriously surprised bruiser vayne wasnt a thing already long ago. not with this build imo, but its going to happen at some point.
personally id go with something more like this.
with the improved attack speed on triforce, the item should actually synergize well with vaynes kit now. her tumble gets her a lot of sheen procs.
maybe swap maw for bork to get some lifesteal and even more damage in there. but thats basically it.

Mig891 votesthe counter to this build is any ad assasin or large enough burst. And cc and shes gone too if you can follow up with damage. If vayne has this full build then you better be right there with her. Her early game sucks. Your bot lane did not do its job.

An Undead brat1 votesOk, let's then agree they would. But counterpick is not counterplay (you can't swap champions in game) and not every game has an AD assassin. Vayne can be last pick or so, etc. Another thing is they have another 4 players protecting her and I agree it's the same with normal Vayne's builds, but in combination with this it's just impossible to kill her quickly with every other teamcomp and we all know that that's the only counterplay to Vayne.
And if bot did their job? I'm sure she was 0/3 when the laning phase ended...
