Why Do I have so many Gold Players in My Games?

So, for the past several games, I've had at least 2-3 gold players on the enemy team and maybe 1 on mine. Last game was 4 gold players and 1 silver player on the enemy team, and on my team was 1 gold 5 player, myself (silver 2), and 3 Silver 1 or 2 players. Needless to say, the game was a complete stomp. Our top laner ended 3/11 or 3/12. Why am I being placed against people so far above me on the ladder when my team has people who are lower than I am? It's really frustrating and makes my games much more difficult than they should be. Should I submit a support ticket?
