What was the most enjoyable time/season in League?
I personally liked season 5, so I use that as my reference point for what was I'd like the game to be, but I know people have different opinions, and I'd like to know them.

seasons 3-5
Season 7
Honestly the game requires a lot more skill now to really dominate and I think that's a very healthy thing. That said, patch 4.20 was littttt and an incredible time to be a jungler.
The actual answer:
Whatever season you really first starting playing back when you were still unfamiliar with many aspects of the game and champions. Easy to look back at those times with the rose tinted glasses as you were unaware of/not skilled enough at the time to be regularly facing (because were playing with and against other new people) whatever was broken/OP/garbage that all the "veterans" were complaining about.
I liked S3 when we had aura items and spamworthy mana regen.
Nah, I think 4 was my fondest time. I even tried to make ranked, which I instantly regretted, but there it is. S4 had a lot of good changes (silences off moboassassins, support scaling) so I just liked it a bunch. Ever since, they seem to be on a downhill spiral contributing to games that end before anything interesting has really happened. Every champion is designed to frontshit damage like it's going out of style and most ults are AoE gamechanger damage.
Kindred was close to something cool until the 'two champions' bit was just a gimmicky gag.
only been playing since season season 6 so now
I don't remember the patches, but when Kassadin was the strongest mid laner and got perma'd every game. Not for that reason, but I just remember having a lot of fun in league during that time period.
Season 4 Mainly because Jungle itemization/spirit stone meant practically ANY champion could jungle
Season 2-3. Shit was Bonkers and Campy all the champions were obviously Busted. And you could comeback from the Brink of defeat with Iron resolve and Determination
One day, I will make a post that gameplay people won't down vote.
