As a friendly player, then, I would like to invite you to the two other permanent modes RIOT has provided: ARAM and Twisted Treeline!

I know, this does nothing to solve the problem of a rigid meta, but when you need to take a breather, both offer relief.

I hear your complaints already: ARAM has too many bots, and TT has ten minute queue times.

Well, the solution is simple: play, and get get your friends to play. The more people who play ARAM, the fewer bots there will be as a percentage of players. If you get your friends to play TT with you, the queue times will go down.

In all seriousness, we'd love to have you.

At this point, I may as well. Tried him mid once, for the sake of it, this morning. Despite my AP, the state of my minions and how easily they were made a non-problem for them made his AP useless. There is also a jungler AD page for him (think prior to the last nerf), might still be possible as well. >>

How dare you! Riot has not created ARAM. They just picked it up from fans. They hardly give a flying fuck about this game mode at this point. Well they only revisit ARAM on winter sales when they gotta stack some of cash for overpriced skins.

I play a ton of ARAM. Once you've played enough you NEVER see bots anymore. You just see a metric ton of ARAM-only accounts

Personally, it's no so much a problem with the meta, as much as it's a problem with riot restricting what is actually possible to do.

I've never encountered bots, but ARAM is even worse because it's entirely dependent on how lucky you are. I'd rather play a normal fucking game and at least be able to have some counterplay on whatever the meta is than to have absolutely no fucking chance at winning because some kids on the enemy team got lucky with their rolls.

Why thats a pretty solid rammus build. NOT AS SOLID AS THIS, THOUGH! Thresh item 3072 item 3006 item 3153 item 3091 item 3124 item 3115 (the testing tool tells me it does more DPS than all ADC's i own with their respective builds, funny thing huh)

If going TT, don't get too comfortable. Riot has been slowly killing it off ala Dominion. Not too long ago they officially admitted they don't care about champion balance.

You'd be surprised. Last I played it there was a Nasus, a Nautilus, and a Darius versus a Volibear, a Veigar, and a Miss Fortune.

Unfortunately, many people (myself included) play this game with emphasis on competition in combination with fun. Naturally, this makes metas a problem, but it also makes the options you provide a problem: Why play ARAM when you cannot build a team comp, causing a big chunk of games to be entirely won at champ select, just like summoner's rift? There are champions like Jax, where if the enemy has a certain character or two, you're just completely fucked and useless all game. Feeling completely helpless all game due to being a melee character with shit utility in a teamfight gamemode makes players like me hate the game mode.

Why play TT when Riot hasn't even tried balancing it for foreverness ago? Last I checked, there were still 65% winrate characters, and I haven't seen any changes for it. It's not a game mode that Riot shows any signs of supporting. This means, yes, the meta is strong there too, and if you don't pick top tier you lose. Unless top tier is a champion you love, this game mode also sucks dick for players like me.

It's a lose-lose-lose.

Well, there would be more of an incentive for Riot to address these balance issues if more people played and complained. As is, it's a vicious cycle of unbalance: why balance if no one plays it, why play it if it's never balanced?

Furthermore, I did not say that there isn't a TT meta. Rather, I meant to imply that the meta is different.

I simply hope that more people join in so that this great game mode doesn't go away.

I already stopped playing on the Rift entirely, all I play is ARAM this season so far. It's just sad how extremely bad the balance has gotten that I'm reduced to playing a RNG based gamemode for a better and still more fairer experience. At least you still have the chance NOT to encounter one of 20 overpowered champions on there and even then they work drastically different in a single lane environment.

Another big bonus is the fact that games tend to end a lot quicker thus reducing the frustration of having to put up longer than necessary with blatantly snowballing teams which is a concept that personally has ruined the game for me. There are simply no comebacks anymore, so just let's get this shit over with so that I may get to queue up again.

Oh, it also made me love some champions I never got around to play as before. So there's definitely something good about that, it's a nice way to get some practice with them.
