just a question here about hybrid damage champs

so here with my man corki he was changed a while back and would do 50 50 ad and magic damage then it was changed to favor ap damage right becasue it made it dificult to build anything vs corki. sooo my question is why atm can and can technically go hybrid damage and excel with both damage and defensive items from both worlds in the same build and they wont get touched?

i am just asking about this as it kinda just came to my mind right now wondering what you all think.
