Can you explain to me, how his abilities work,

When does he get his insaine shield?

How does his Q interact with that thing under minions and why can it hit me from so far away.

Is this champion broken?

Passive, Get mana get some ap, get ap get some mana. Q skill shot uve seen it goes in a line. W snare, E targeted gives "spell flux" Using abilities on champions with spell flux change the abiltiy Spell fluxed changes Q more dmg W longer snare E spreads to nearby things Shield question Using w or e resets Q cool down using e or w gives a rune. after getting 2 runes and use the q you get the shield/speed up Minion question The q can travel in dmg to things with spell flux (Cough minion wave)

I can't as I'm not a rize player and being low ello "bronze" I can not give sound advice.

However I can point you in a few good directions. Google Ryze builds, and mobafire, lolking, and champion GG will come up presenting you with all the info you desire.

If however you want to watch and learn I'd suggest some youtubers that could help. huzzygames, is currently doing a A-Z series along side his unranked to masters series, Anklespankin is very entertaining and gives good info about champions he plays. Foxdrop (highly recommended) Has put his channel in a direction with the moto How to be a better league player. Captianmonk has just came back and started posting his gameplay commentarys giving info on varus champions as well. Anyway hope it helps

Everytime Ryze makes a combo, he always starts with Q, since using either his W or E will completely refresh his Q cooldown. So here are a list of combos he can use in certain situations:

**QWQEQ ** - Made for 1v1 duels. Damage, then snares you, damage you again, throws E for the mark, and damage again coupled with the bonus from the mark.

QEQWQ - Same as QWQEQ, just that you apply the bonus damage first before the snare.

When does he get his insaine shield?

By using WE, EE or EW then Q will trigger the shield & movement speed buff.

How does his Q interact with that thing under minions and why can it hit me from so far away.

If he were to E kill a 1 hp minion, his E mark will spread to nearby minions. Throwing Q at the marked minion will also damages the marked targets near it. Also applies to champions.

If he Es a healthy minion, the mark only applies to that specific minion. However, if he Es that same minion while the mark is still there, the mark will spread.

So my advice? Always stay a distance away from marked minions. If you're marked, distance yourself away from other marked minions so that Ryze's Q won't affect you near it.

Is this champion broken?

It's "eh". I mean he CAN be very powerful & oppressive in 1v1 duels, but in teamfights, he only can either offer a really good team-ult, be able to single out the squishy in a heavy teamfight, or take his time to spread his E before he Qs for team damage.
