Velkoz Questions

I don't own him so I can't test.

His E... I interpret the wiki to mean (http://leagueoflegends.wikia.com/wiki/Velkoz) that if he throws his E long distance and you're standing next to him, when the E lands in the distance, you're pushed back, while standing next to him. Is this true???

It just seems really weird.
