Zed 'bug' Q > W? It matches his W E, why not leave it in?
I made a petition to have the Q > W 'bug-fix' (5.17 patch Zed bug fix) undone, allowing the trick to stay around.
Ok. So I will start off by saying I am not a good player, I am ranked almost the lowest possible. That being said, I still enjoy the game. So I heard about the zed Q then W change, and I was like" wow, that actually sounds really cool to try and I bet it looks awesome". So I tried Zed out again (tried him a long time ago and didn't like him). So I played it my first game, and I played him literally the last 27/30 games (a full match history page plus some). I didn't play him 3 times. 1 of which he was already taken, and the other 2 he was banned out. (I play a lot of normal TB/blind so I got him a lot). Anyways, I actually tried him Top, Mid, and Jungle and reaaaaaaally liked him. (27/30 games, and I wanted him those 3 I missed).
PRO: It was a very fun mechanic. Once you got it down, it looked very snazzy and stylish, and was effective. It interacted very similar to his W and E combo. This is why I initially thought it was meant to be changed. Lets face it. In lane, (without it) When you throw your W out, your gonna Q after this. It is 100% telegraphed, where even us bronze of bronze knew what was about to happen. Very easy to miss. But with it, you could pull off some nice Skillshot dodges (standing to 1 side of river, Q, W to other side of river) and you could actually change it up. Now, wer are back to the same 1 play (W, Q/E, E/Q). I play him now after it, and it actually feels like a special part of him is missing now. I think it should return exactly like was. CON: So, lets start with how it changes (I am going to try and be neutral, but I do really want it back). I noticed it sometimes made it very easy to land a double Q in lane, if someone was walking directly at me (We do this very often in bronze. We also like to juke into skillshots. Its like trying to catch a ball of death). As long as I was in range of my Q hitting, it was almost a guaranteed double hit. But, if you tried to use it in lane when they didn't play like 'simon just told them to stand still', it was quite easy to miss. Because if they moved at all, neither would hit.
Solution: I don't know why it was fixed, be it was deemed 'op' or if they just fixed it because it accidentally happened.
- In the event Riot thought it was 'op', then lets compromise. Put a .25 second delay on it being thrown from his shadow. That way it still has its very targeted uses, but it can also be dodged, because you know whats coming.
- In the event Riot disabled it simply because it was an accident, then lets vote on it. Lets take a poll. If the majority dislikes it, then lets take it out. But if people actually say hey, that is pretty badass and I want it back! Then give the people what they want.
If you read it, please take a few seconds of your time to at least vote below. If you are for it and want it to really happen, going and voting on the petition as well would make it very likely to get implemented. I will be sending the petition to Riot Games (tm), if it gets 100+ signatures!
