matchmaking NEEDS to be fixed
Let me start by saying i've only won 106 games of summoners rift
I decide i want to learn summoners rift as im an aram player, i get into a game and face a yasuo who dominates me in lane and leaves me useless to my team as the only time my jungler ganked was when i couldnt possibly do anything to help and he feeds the yasuo more and more as he doesnt learn he cant 1v1 a yasuo 3 levels higher than he is.
anyways, after the game i see the yasuo has won over 1000 games more than i have and i was abit shocked as 1000 games is alot compared to 100 games, even compared to 1000 games it's still double the amount of wins. although ive noticed already that my enemy laner either dominates me or gets dominated i never thought the gap would be THAT big so i sluffed it off with the thought in mind that sometimes there will be some gaps in order to make a match start.
i get into my next game where i face a darius who taunts, dances, and spams mastery at me all game once he has beat me in lane, abit frustrating i'll admit but i didnt think too much of it...that is, until the game was done and he started to shit talk me, i looked at his wins, 1500 wins and he is shit talking someone with 106 wins, this is some pretty bad behaviour yes but it's even worse matchmaking.
Riot will match a new player with an experienced player who will proceed to shit talk the new player. There is no way Riot could think we were on par with eachother. Out of my 106 wins most come from the jungle since laning is something quite new to me as an aramer and i tend to get completely dominated (hmmm i wonder why) when i lane. So now that i am laning could i get matched with someone who has little experience laning? Nope heres a mastery flashing Darius instead!
How does Riot propose new players to ever want to stay if this is what they face? Theres not even a "cant spam mastery near someone with under 10% of your wins" function let alone even matchmaking
This matchmaking has never really bothered me in ARAM when i was new but it's a much more relaxed and forgiving gamemode but i really don't even want to try to learn SR (at least not any lane) if im matched with people who have 100 times (or more) my experience and i especially have no drive to continue if the experienced player is BMing me after the game as well as during it.
There is FINALLY a good champion select system which is why i've come back to try the rift again after a long time of ARAM only but with such terrible matchmaking i see no point in playing.
i know i'm bad, i know there are alot of bad players, so how come the only people i get matched against have either WAY more wins than i have and dominate me in lane or aren't even level 30, have no keystone and get dominated in lane?
Even if you were to just add the wins on my team and compare it to the sum of wins on the enemy team it will show that it clearly isn't fair. sum of our team wins : just over 1k wins sum of enemy team wins : just over 3k wins what WHAT?
let me just add that i have some friends on my list who range between bronze 3 and all the way up to plat and i have laned against alot of them (gold 1 was the highest) in customs to gain some experience and get an opinion on where i stand and the general consensus is that i'm around approx silver 1 or 2 so i am just as shocked when i see that i faced a level 27 account that just got dominated in lane to the point that they are shut out of the game entirely and the poor sap can't even sit under tower safely
TLDR matchmaking is matching new / inexperienced players with experienced players
