"The hunt is on!" No More?

I was playing a game as in the jungle yesterday. The enemy jungler was , and upon seeing this in Champion select I got excited, hoping I could do "The hunt is on!" (which I remember from S4) and get The Head of Kha'Zix upon killing the bug.

So the match began. As I approached the first time, said "I've found you, beast!". I couldn't get him because he ran under the turret, so I fell back. Fast forwarding to near the end of the match, I finally managed to get him. However, I didn't get The Head of Kha'Zix, and my trophy count didn't max out. Needless to say, I was disappointed.

So the question to Riot: is there a way you guys could re-implement this little "mini-game"?

Seemed like you only had 8 stacks on your bone tooth :( sorry bro, the mini quest won't activate

The mini quest is still there but it doesn't become available until both players reach 16 iirc.

The quote is a separate interaction. The quest is probably still there, you just mistook it for something else. It starts when Kha gets three evolutions and Rengar gets a certain number of trophies if I remember correctly. The Hunt Is On will appear on the top right and you'll get a little buff informing you of it.

you both have to be lvl 16 and rengar has to have atleast 10 stacks for it to activate

Rengar also has to have 10 stacks on his necklace.
