Really tired of losing games because of someone else's connection problems.

Sometimes you're a liability to the team and have some areas for improvement.

Sometimes you're tested on your ability to carry someone else who's being a load.

But it's just irritating to do everything correctly, have everyone on the team coordinated and performing well, only to suddenly have the game turn into a 4v5 at a critical moment. There needs to be better detection/forgiveness of these situations. I'm sick of being punished for something that has nothing to do with the game or anything I did in it.

The issue is that lately it hasn't been a lot of people's faults. A lot of people have been experiencing connection issues where there haven't been before. I understand your frustration, and trust me, those who are getting disconnected are just as mad if not more so. Hopefully Riot does something.

Exactly this. Never had connection issues before but now lately every other day is filled with games where i feel like Im watching stop motion or the electric slide.

The problem with this game is the biggest strength: it is a team game.

Fun when it is 5 v 5, not so fun when you are screwed by one of the 5.

1 person can rarely win a game for a team but 1 person can EASILY lose it.

why are we being placed through an individual ranking system when this is a team game, ranked 5s are the only legit ranking system, solo q is really screwing people over and I just want to get to gold :(

Can we please just add snowball back tot he game? This way ranked may actually be bearable to play with all the rage quiters and random dcs.

I do understand that some people can't afford a better connection or computer. But I consider it extremely selfish to ruin the game for others. I just wished they'ld ban such people from ranked games who were afk / disconnected for more than 10 minutes from ranked for a day or two.

Common, that's just wrong. Imagine a poor kid getting a used computer that is able to run LoL with his bad connection. This game is free. Head able to play very well with a large lag. But now the lag has gotten worse and people like that are everywhere.

And what about his teammates? I don't think it's fair that 9 other players have to suffer from 1 person being cheap, or egoistical. They can play normals, but I dare say that people who can't play with a stable connection should not take part in ranked.

You think all these people are purposely doing this to ruin the other player's game? Sure there are some that would, but most of the people actually have connection problems, and most of the time it's not on their end.

I've been playing since the beginning of S3, and I almost never had connection problems. Sure back then, I would get a random half second lag spike that goes away instantly, or have to relog once in every 50+ or so games but never anything big. I just got back to league about 2-3 weeks ago from a 2 month break, and I've been having all these random lag issues, attempting to reconnect on almost every game, and my usual average ping of around 87 would just stay at 250-300+ for almost all game.

It's not my connection itself, I can play other games that are way farther then League's servers with way less ping. My computer is definitely not cheap since I could play much more demanding games on High settings without any issues again.

It's not the players fault from all these disconnections, it's riot's server. So you think it's fair that they would be banned from ranked games just because riot can't fix their problems? Then again, people are getting banned on a normal basis because of the crappy servers, and all the response we get from riot is "Not our problem, it's on your end" (even though this is happening on a mass amount of players...)

Although I do agree some what on what your saying. If people think that they might lag because of the servers, they really shouldn't play ranked. I played 1 game of ranked last week and after that, I decided to just stick with normals and aram until this problem fixes itself. Sucks though, what a big disappointment for anyone who really really wanted to grind to a certain rankings right before the end of the season.

As someone who tends to have connection issues because of a shitty ISP... I agree with you. Part of the reason I don't play ranked is because I never want to be in the situation where I ruined someone's promo series because of said ISP.

Implicit in this statement is the assumption that winning a 5v4 is less fun than losing a 4v5 is unfun. Otherwise, it balances out. (Actually, if we're assuming that you don't have d/cs yourself, there's a higher chance that the other team will have a d/c: they have 5 potential d/cers, and you have 4 potential d/cers drawn from the same pool.)

I recently played a game, our Galio dc'd 3 times, and our aatrox once, it was ridiculous because we were winning by so much in all lanes, and just because of someone with a bad internet connection, we lost. we didn't even get loss prevented

I really think matches shouldn't start when there is a player who didn't connect while the game was loading. Since it might just be some minor DC and not happen at all later in the game they should be given the same punishments as dodging qeue. Also they should give us the option to vote for pause.
