Karma vs Leblanc Tether range

I spectated a game with a Karma vs Leblanc mid lane. You can probably guess that there were several trades where both parties just went ahead and tethered each other with their snares. However, what should be noted is that the wiki states that both Leblanc and Karma's tether ranges are 1000 range. As they did their little dances around each other, Karma's tether broke while Leblanc's remained active.

Clearly, Leblanc's tether range is longer than Karma's. The wiki is either wrong in how they gathered information, or this is an unintended difference in tether ranges.

Is it possible that this is an intentional difference as Karma's tether is point and click while Leblanc's is a skill shot.

Probably one is calculated from hitbox's edge, and the other from center.

The wiki had one of Karma's tether properties wrong for years; they wrote that the tether deals damage in 0.66s intervals, when it's actually 1.0s intervals. I wouldn't be surprised if they made a misstake somewhere else. I think some video evidence would both help us and the guys writing the wiki to settle this issue.
