Should I buy skins, open mystery chest, or buy hextech?

I have 975 rp, and I don't know if I should get a skin. Most skins that I want are 1350 rp. So should I save, buy a mystery chest, or open hextech chests?

Depends on what you find fun. My friend and I trade mystery boxes with stupid messages in them. Sometimes they get gatekeeper Galio and I get Rugged Garen, and sometimes they get commando fucking galio and I get commando fucking garen. Either way it is fun and we have laughs. If there is a champ you like but that you don't have a skin for then a straight purchase is always nice.

Screw hextech though, that shit is trash.

If you're going to spend a lot, then Mystery boxes or a stack of Hextech chests is fun if you enjoy the gamble, but you can't expect to get things you like often.

If you're budgeting your RP you should just buy the skin you want, preferably waiting for it to go on sale. All non-limited/legacy skins go on "early sale" 4-6 months after release. In the long run, you're probably going to want to do this, or you'll end up looking back on a lot of bad purchases. Also try to get only 1 skin for a champion (maybe except your mains), and only if you absolutely want it; if you just get the best current one because you want a skin for it, you'll have wasted RP when a new better skin is released.
