@Riot Instead of Destroying Talon...

Make cutthroat snare. His passive is/has always been bad, getting one proc of it doesn't help much. There is nothing stopping someone from getting away from Talon now (flash, ANY blink ability) before he can do damage. The difference between Leblanc/Kass and Talon, is that they have multiple gap closers, as well as (for Leblanc) an actual snare. Oh, and they can actually get out of the fight. If Talon doesn't blow his opponent up, they can just retaliate and kill him right away, or flash and kite him super hard. Kass/Leblanc just have to use their second gap closer. Using a blanket nerf on those three completely ruins Talon.

I for one (having played Talon since release) am done playing him, and I know that there are tons of people with me. It's not like I am just bitching about a change, I am suggesting how it can be fixed, and how he can be fixed. Please take this into account.

Off the top of my head, here is a list of champions that now potentially beat Talon if he jumps on them that previously couldn't have (not talking about in lane).

  • ANY champion with flash
  • Ahri
  • Caitlyn (Net away)
  • Akali (Just W)
  • Anivia (Instant stun)
  • Annie (Same)
  • Ashe (Instant stun)
  • Cass (Instant stun)
  • Corki (Valkyrie away)
  • Draven (E, then wreck with axes)
  • Ezreal (Blink)
  • Fid (Instant fear)
  • Grag (Displace Talon then wreck him)
  • Graves (Dash away, kite)
  • Kass (Jump away) There are more, but I didn't realize how long the list was until I looked at them.

Where is talon's ult during most of these examples? I feel like talon is still going to murder the crap out of ashe, Cait, Draven, ezreal (unless he builds durability. Even then late game)

They should buff him so that he gets the Ulti movespeed even after he re-appears. Make it last the max duration he can have his blades out. Other than that, time will tell. He basically has a short duration snare with the new E anyway. Most blinks have a long enough cooldown that if Talon uses his E to initiate he can then use his ult to run them down and finish the job after they flash. And if they get away after using flash then who cares, they just spent a 5 minute cooldown to avoid your 40 second ulti.
