I guess I don't always have to win, I kind of wanted a handicap anyway :^)

Oh look, Bard's on the enemy team. He's going to know what the fuck he's doing, and my teammates will have no idea how to deal with him.

No, you didn't.

I'm not kidding. Bard's on my team? He never lands his stun. Mistimes his ultimate or hits the wrong people with it. Doesn't think about how to use his E passages to do anything helpful or interesting. Places health packs where enemies can easily step on them. Wanders for chimes anytime when he's actually needed.

Bard's on their team? Always saves Q for the right moment. Every friggin ult does exactly what he wants, whether it's a 2-second AoE stun, or a team self-protection for cooldowns, or stealing Dragon/Baron. Places E so that he can cross gaps longer range than anything but Nocturne, Shen, TF and Pantheon. Seems to magnetically attract chimes and never leave lane.

Selective memory? I play poker and people always tell me how they're always unlucky. There's a point where that's not realistic.

Selective memory?

Small sample. Three games with Bard. One with just on the enemy team, one with just on my team, and one with both teams.

never seen a bard worth a damn. Its impossible to do good with him. He has one form of cc on a 12 second cooldown. 0 tankiness, might as well have zero healing with that terrible base and scaling shrine, and no ult.

Yes, no ult. A 2 second delay on an aoe zhonyas is basically trolling your allies after they already died.

I feel like these are just getting copy-pasted for each new champion release, because the problem and the cause is always the same; new champion nobody knows how to use, but everybody wants to use anyway.

look at how low his win rates are and say that again

cute but you didn't look at his win rates at all. Keep thinking he is good though, maybe he will after many buffs

I never commented on his actual viability.

your entire post seems to imply that bard is actually good so don't give me "you didn't comment on his viability" bard is not a viable champion, he causes his team to lose more than anything since all his skills are clunky. His Q stun is unreliable, his ult is so situational and easy to screw up and troll people with, his heals costs way too much mana at early ranks and his E is just... bah. That's not even going into how weak his passive feels early and not doesn't feel worth to go after all the chimes until you start getting stupid amounts of them

My post has nothing to do with the meaning you mistakenly gave it. Every new champion, there is a steady stream of "don't let this guy on your team, ban it, I hate this guy it sucks". It doesn't matter how good or bad the champion is, they attribute their problems to it and conveniently ignore it is literally the least mastered champion in the game.

Edit: Also, his Ult is probably the single highest skill ceiling ability in the game, imo. Luck is probably half of getting the most use out of it.

there is a reason people don't want bard in the game, he is not viable at all. I could care less about the high skill ceiling of his ult, it's so easy to fuck up and easy to troll others with that there is no point. In all of my games with bard i rarely use the damn thing nor i want to use it half the time since there is just no point in using it. The most use i have ever gotten is when the enemy engaged upon us and i managed to hit their backline to slow them long enough for us to be in a favorable position. It doesn't matter how new or not the champion is he is undertuned and clunky to use as all hell

I could care less about the high skill ceiling of his ult

it's so easy to fuck up

Way to contradict yourself in the same sentence.

how am i contradicting myself? i could care less about the high skill ceiling on it because it's so easy to fuck up and so easy to troll people with it. That's not how you make something have "high skill ceiling", at least not the good type of it

It's ok, once you filter for Plat+ only, Bard wins 32%. You've still got a chance!

You know, on PBE, we never really had a problem with people being as shit as they are on live, at least with bard. Generally speaking, bard is a utility tank. You buy: Merc treads talisman of ascension Randuins banshees veil raylais crystal scepter morellonomicon/frozen heart.

He has neither the damage nor the scaling to be useful as anything else :C

{quoted}

You mean look at how low a support with no damage and an ult thats very powerful in certain situations, but also has a high greif potential, winrate is within a week of his release? I seem to recall yasuo having a similar problem.

Bard is a support that doesnt do damage o-o'' Hes DIFFERENT. of course hes going to be hard to play. Azir had a low win rate too.

Mega Annie X1 votes

once again. WHAT TANK. HIS BASE STATS ARE TERRIBLE. HE HAS NO PEEL OR CONSISTENT PRESSURE TO NOT BE IGNORED. HE IS ABOUT AS TANKY A SUPPORT AS HEIMERDINGER

excuse me ive had bards who absolutely make or break games on my team. once he fronze baron for my smite to come off cooldown and we secured a win. His heals work wonders for early leashes gives the jg a bit of a safer/longer jg time. his stuns work almost against anything a wall minion, anything obstabcle. IMO hes new but he can be good people just need to give him some time as with most champs
