Ok, I normally am good as Fizz in lane and what not, but Zed rushed Hexdrinker and destroyed me.
I'd ult, wait for him to use his spells to escape, get up lane quickly, then Q, W, E and his HexDrinker would go off just before I could kill him. Then he'd Ult and destroy me with autos. Like... WTF???? League literally built just one huge item that counters Fizz.

as a first item. Seeker's Armguard isn't as strong as Hexdrinker, but adding some armor with it will give you an easier laning phase against Zed, and eventually completing Zhonya's Hourglass can completely negate Zed's ultimate as well.
