Can The Victory/Defeat Animation Have A Disable Option?

Le Him··78 votes·4,236 views

I, and I'm sure many others, receive a large amount of lag once a game is coming to an end. It takes sitting and staring at a victory/defeat/black screen for 5 mins for game results to eventually pop up. Maybe a simple in-game button to disable the animation at the end can fix this? Not everyone can afford a new or high-tech gaming computer just to play League.

I upvote this, It consumes unnecesary time for people whom just don't want to see the obvious animations.

Right?! I think the results screen do enough to get the whole point across, whether I've won or lost.

I just find the animation annoying and unnecessary, so sure, have my upvote.

You can frantically click around where the "continue" button is and skip the animation, for the most part.

ReplayHUD records the endscreen up until you press the button. Here, I pressed the button before it ever appeared. Like I usually do. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KFfpm2nk204

I will try that. As for the client being closed ti doesn't matter. Nor it matter if the game is is full screen/windowed/borderless.

After making a clean lol installation I played one day and the pc never froze on end game screen. Then after a pc crash the client tried to download NA version and the pc started freezing again on almost every end game screen.

But if we could have an option to turn this feature off it would be a solution.

Same. It lags the shit out of my pc every time the game ends.

I made a thread about this back when it was introduced, and noone seemed to care so.... meh

Do you have "close client during game" checked in the client settings? Takes forEVER to load the post game screen if you have it turned on. Try turning that off.

I have a little tip to skip most of it and go straight to the end game screen, just spam click where the leave game button is which is just under the nexus you can click the button before it even show's up and gets you out of the game faster.

KING OF MASKS3 votes

Yeah, once the nexus explodes the button is technically there, just invisible. I discovered that by accident and now do it every time.

Try to Alt + F4 twice a bit before the animation starts. You will be redirected to the match results screenshots. Faster and easier!

There is an option to disable eye candy on the rift, this is in the same vein as that so I could see it being implemented, upvoted

DeathBurst1 votes

Not really in the same vein. Disabling eye candy is more about readability and removing visual pollution for people wanting to play competitively and not giving a shite about aesthetics.

EcchiOtakuTM2 votes

I'm def supporting this.

ArtMurder2 votes

What all are you wanting removed? Everything including the explosion and just having it go straight to the results screen the second it explodes? Or just the "Victory/Defeat" animation that you have to click okay out of? I'd like to have the "Okay" part removed, but i like the animation of the nexus exploding.

Nikoyopu2 votes

Not removed. But to have the option of turning it off.

kaltenashes2 votes

yeah, i suffer from this, when the animation starts my pc always lags/freezes for some seconds then after i press continue it takes more time to get in the lobby, i'm always the last person to join the after game lobby

feels lonely after a game

my pc hates the beginning of every game, he lags until approx 1:50

Ayy lmao. Did you really just type that? This post is full of shit.

Kürama2 votes

The black screen you're referring to is when you click "Continue" to transfer back to the client. This has nothing to do with the animation and is thus not an issue.

agreed, always depressing seeing that 3rd loss on your promos

I don't understand how you can play League at 60 FPS on a machine that lags for 5 minutes on such a short animation

DeathBurst4 votes

Well, guess what? You don't play at 60 FPS. You play at 30 or 40.

The Governer1 votes

Not everyone has decent computers, let alone high-end machines.

There are some who play this game at 20-40 FPS you know.

I don't. I play at 20-30 fps.

It also doesnt let you use the chat box when the crystal explodes, which is exceptionally annoying.

Tengrichan1 votes

Yes please.Since the new animations on them it can take up to 1 min at least to get into post-game lobby.

Doesn't affect me at all but ill upvote anyway. yay more options!

SolusInCadere1 votes

I upvote, becuase my friend has this problem, and our playgroup has to wait fro him to get out of the ending screen

FlippyGoneTrippy1 votes

Agreed. I really hope 5 minutes is an exaggeration for you though. But I go through this problem every game I'd say my wait time is 30 seconds to 2 minutes. I'm going to try Plubios solution (double alt f4) hope it works ^^

FlippyGoneTrippy1 votes

Just wanted to say that as previous people have mentioned; the "leave game" button is functional but invisible as soon as the nexus explodes. So do some clicking where it usually is and you shouldn't have to deal with the lag.

I found that many people have freeze on end game screen and are forced to cold reboot their computers even these days (on various forums reddit/nvidia/here/ some pc tech forums and on some other web pages.. So can we get this feauture to turn off the end game screen. I am tired of cold rebooting every time I finish a game. I play Fortnite/Diablo 3/ Hearthstone/Lineage 2/WoW/MXM/ Heroes of the Storm/Overwatch and I don't have any issue.

"New high-tech gaming computer" the fuck? I was playing on an old Radeon 5670 for years with 60 FPS. Wtf are you playing on, an IBM?
