Fiora nerf?

I play Fiora frequently and recently people have been complaining that shes OP. I agree that she is a formidable opponent, but is it really to the point where she needs to be nerfed? Yes she can completely obliterate squishy targets, but give her any crowd control and she falls apart. I think it's very situational and it balances out in the end. I'm not sure, but I don't think she was considered OP until recently. I started playing her around November or December and never heard any complaints about her being too OP. Anyways let me know if you think she needs to be nerfed and why. Personally I don't think she does just for the fact that she can easily be killed herself.

She's like Katarina - incredibly powerful, but easy to stop.

She really isn't that big of a problem. It's just the typical complains about champions that get strong enough to completely delete opponents without opposition when ahead.

Katarina, Zed, Fizz, LeBlanc, Fiora, Master Yi, Riven, etc. All see this kind of hatred because they're super snowbally, so when they get ahead they typically stay ahead, and I mean way ahead. They scale so heavily with items that they become an utter nightmare.

Each of these champions shares a common weakness. They're all super squishy assassins that simply throwing some hard cc at them renders them a siting duck.

THANK YOU! This is the way I see it. If the enemy team is complaining about me being too OP then blame the top laner that fed me xD!

Yeah I frankly don't think she's anywhere near nerf worthy, but granted I often either play said champions, or champions that can fight back against that through CC or some other way.

Aatrox is another prime example, thank you.

You just compared the safety of Master Yi, Riven and Fiora to Zed, LeBlanc and Fizz. Whatever you're smoking, you need to share.

Three of them (Hint: It's the first three) have a high skill ceiling because they have strong counterplay and are highly reliant on good positioning, because they aren't forgiving to mistakes. The other three have ridiculous levels of safety and only have a high skill ceiling because it's hard to abuse their silly mechanics to the fullest extent possible.

As a result, I do not believe Fiora even remotely deserves a nerf. They're going to rework her eventually, but right now it's on the backburner.

I said quite literally nothing about safety, I said they get so much hate due to the snowbally nature of their kits and how strongly they scale with items.

I also stated they're so squishy that if you hit them with hard CC they explode like a balloon with too much air in it. Which is correct for all of those champions.

I also included Katarina in there, which you failed to address at all. I genuinely don't believe I could possibly disagree more with Master Yi having a high skill ceiling. There's a reason he's suggested to carry yourself at low elo.

Disregarding opponents and staying ahead refers to safety, which Fiora has actually none of. Incidentally, labeling her a MADC is pretty inaccurate IMO, because her carry capacity is lower than that of a lot of non-carries, such as Nocturne or Rengar. She's more of an assassin than anything. Her safety is too low to consistently get multikills, or really even output that much damage. Her scaling is also pretty poor compared to ANY carry, especially melee carries. She either is a walking ult, which is pretty meh, or she has zero safety whatsoever and a much less effective ultimate.

Either way, at lower ELO where you'll probably face at least one other fed enemy, she falls apart. Hence my point. Holding a lead consistently IS safety,...

Also assassins, any ADC and any squishy. Really not that uncommon. Difference is, LB, Fizz and Zed can do what they do and then teleport out before you can use said counterplay, often times.

The skill required to perform their combos versus the reaction time and skills required to counter them is in their favor, and the counterplay simply amounts to "Okay, you get to keep 1/3rd of your health bar until my 30 second cooldowns are up again."

I don't think you understand what a skill ceiling is. If something is recommend for LOW ELO, they're talking about the SKILL FLOOR, which is how easy a champion can be picked up and played. Master Yi has a low skill floor and a massive and deceptive skill ceiling. Katarina isn't that difficult to shut down, particularly in the League of Tanks.

I think they need to make it so her ult doesn't apply on hit effects.

Haha not sure what to think about this. It's difficult from my standpoint since I really like to play her. Interesting thought...

fiora is not op she's balanced. yi for exemple is more op. because he has more attack speed can't be sloweed and invulnerable to as debuff like malphite frozen hart randuin, nasus wither etc.also yi deals more dmg because of true damage and double hit passive. yi also push better so he can ruin the ennemy strategy

64539310_DEL1 votes

I agree except for Yi being better. Fiora in my opinion takes less time to kill single targets, however, she can't take on the entire enemy team like Yi can. Also Fiora has waaaaaaaaaay more attack speed. The cooldown is lower and it resets upon a kill or assist. All you need is one or two items with attack speed.

Yi can carry much, much harder, and is more consistent. That pretty much does make him superior overall :s.

She's one of those champions that can annihilate or be useless, like most carries (Yi, Kat etc). If ahead, she does well, if behind, she falls apart. She has clear weaknesses and strengths, so in my opinion she's in a good spot.

Yeah she's op look at her wins and play rate. Double gap closer built in sustain and untsrgetability. Untargetabilty will always be broken. When they rework her they will probably tristana her. I suggest get gud

Going to play Fiora now, haven't used her in a long while.
