Does this ever happen to you?

You finally made it to Diamond. You realize that the real elo hell is plat 1. You clawed and fought your way to the holy grail that millions strive for, Diamond. You're not a pro challenger player, you can't just pick up a champion in a day and expect to carry four scrubs on your back. You made it to diamond playing your main, your bread and butter in your favorite and best role.

Then your gold friend asks you to queue up for a normal game, you're a support main.. but fuck it, it's a normal.. lets play Zed mid for the first time. You are laning against a gold player.. before the game he obviously looked you up and saw that you were diamond, he is playing his main champion and tryharding so much against you. The enemy jungler also see's that you're diamond so of course he is going to camp your lane. You are about even in CS, and not feeding.. but should you make one wrong move it starts.

"YOU'RE FUCKIN DIAMOND?? HOW MUCH DID YOUR ACCOUNT COST?" "OMFG I BEAT A DIAMOND, I AM THE NEXT BJERGSEN" This is non stop from both your team and the enemy team, until you feel like absolute shit. You work so hard, for years to finally get to your goal of diamond and now you got here, this is what you get.

I finally understand why people make smurf accounts now, if I want to go try something new I can do it without getting bombarded with harassment.

People are always going to find something to insult you with. It's no better for smurfs. Basically just relax and ignore their rude/insecure comments.

Pats your head

There there. Don't you worry about them. They'Re always looking for that free ego boost. We're all human. We make mistakes.
