Katarina nerf?

I know that some think that katarina's not that op, but once she gets a kill on you midlane, she gets more and more, especially if the rest of your team starts feeding her too (I've seen that lately). I was wondering what the effects would be if riot gave her mana for a nerf instead of reducing damage output or anything. This would help beat her especially on aram, as every time time I play with a katarina on aram, her team wins because she got a pentakill or something close and aced. I would like to know any thoughts about this.

There's a change on PBE. Basically she has to at the very least get the assist within 3 seconds of death to get the resets.

Katarina's nerf is a straight out gut. GL seeing kata do anything useful. 3s to get a reset is a huge nerf from the 20s it takes to lose the assist.

Just as GloriousKaiser said, it's a rather ... "okay" nerf. It basically has a Jinx timer, now.

I always assumed her "tradeoff" for being resourceless was having little to no ranged wave clear (or wave clear in general). Giving her mana costs would be a pretty decent nerf because she would probably need a mana regen item like morello or athenes, which delays her building more damage items. This is actually pretty funny to think about, because pretty much every mana-using mage other than ahri suffers from this already
