Is it too late to add one more mage to the lineup of reworks?
Cause god only knows how bad
needs one. I was pretty disheartened when I didn't see her in the list of names tbh, because I believe there is so much potential here (heh).
Syndra, to me, is all about quick, smooth play to successfully pull off a combo and blow up a target. the Q can be cast while moving, making for some effective kiting . The e is quick, and feels very smooth when you use it in conjunction with your q effectively. The ult is very satisfying to use, that with just a click of your finger you can blow someone up, so long as you brought out enough and managed your dark spheres effectively, especially early game where your damage and ap is lower.
The ugly duckling, if you will, the one that doesn't belong, is the w. Whether you smartcast it or no, the ability just feels clunky. it doesn't have that quick flow that all of her other abilities do. her Q is what her entire kit revolves around, the e is an effective cc, (that, tbh, probably could use a little work too, but it's not nearly as glaring as the w) and her ult is what makes Syndra.. Syndra. Not only does the W not feel like it belongs with the rest of the skills, it's just bad, and has very little use compared to the rest. I forget which video it was exactly, but Redmercy agreed that in all of Syndra's kit, the w just feels bad and clunky to use compared to the rest, and needs to get changed. Sure, it can be fun to grab blue buff and deny the enemy team with it, but this is so situational and it could very easily stand to be replaced with a skill that not only would more useful, would also feel better to use.
And the other thing is her passive. The bonus damage on q is nice, as is the bonus range on ult, but the other two upgrades are honestly very underwhelming. In addition to the fact that you don't see any benefit from the passive whatsoever until lvl 9, where the lane phase has probably already ended by then, further adds to its problems. Whats worse about this passive is that it just slightly upgrades her actives, it adds and does nothing for her gameplay. If the passive was bugged and didn't take any effect, I honestly wouldn't even notice, and that's a problem.
We're already reworking six mages, how could 1 more hurt? Especially when this one deserves the rework more than more than 1 that you listed where getting it?
