Matchmaking bug

So me being a pretty bad Silver 2 player got randomly thrown into a high gold game. How does that even happen? I hate being the reason why my team loses and it was pretty evident that my little mistakes costed us the game.

Erm cause the silver was prob duo with one of the high golds.

It's not a bug. I've played games in high silver and low gold with plat 5 high gold etc and won. Just play your best and also its a nice opportunity to learn from higher ranked players.
