Lets talk about all of the things that make us Toxic within the game. I know any change will almost always shift into some kind of meta, so instead of that, lets talk about trying to fix the general toxicity that aren't game components. Lets find a way to remove that problem we bare with so that we can thrive together as a community. After all, 1 small step can definitely fix the very unhealthy mental strain that plagues everyone.

The toxicity (I believe) stems from 2 factors. One is interaction and one is mechanics.

The interaction one is trolls who purposely fed and flame games and are rarely punished, while someone says one bad thing (usually to a team mate), they tend to be punished. And sometimes the ingame troller wants to upset people and then report their teammates if they say anything. This causes people to get upset and frustrated to where they start doing the same thing, and thus it spreads.

The mechanical side is the snowbally nature of the game anymore. Most games its either you are just dominating, or being dominated. One mistep = Dead. Caught by C.C = dead. Not using Meta against = Dead. Building Tankiness over damage = Dead. Not this isn't 100% of course, this is what tends to trend for the most part. Nothing is more fun then most of the time not being allowed to do anything because of the insta nuke gameplay, you can't be tactical anymore, the most tactical thing out there anymore is "Flash+Combo/Ult". It isn't fun not being allowed to "play" a game where the game snowballed so hard (think Dodge ball but the enemy team has all the balls) noting can be done unless lucky or some "late game 1v9 champion" was on the team.

WHICH ends up making people toxic and this cycles into the interaction part and thus begins that nasty cycle.

Now how to "fix" the toxicity requires fixing the root of them problems. Can't fix one or the others, toxicity can only be solved by fixing both issues.

Chat restricting and outright banning flaming players is't the answer. Especially as easy as it is just to make an account and now becoming a fiend ou of spite for the player base and game for their account ban. Especially when the game throwers run amok w/o much consequence.

Riot needs to fix their game and not make it all about "flashy plays" and "flashy characters". Make it about being tactical, allowing some banter, and stop relying on bots to do their job for them.

Small steps mean nothing if you are going uphill on a slippery slope.
