Sub lvl 30 hell

Okay so I created a smurf to play with my new friend and teach them the game because I didn't think it was fair bringing my lvl 30 in, I'm using the opportunity to get the basics down on positions and champions I have little to no knowledge on cause I don't want to give my team an unfair advantage.

That said I was in s1 promos multiple times, but I guess I worried over nothing because the people I face in sub lvl 30 are often lvl 30 or harder than the people I faced in silver 1 ranked. Most my friends I've tried to get into the game have quit before making it to lvl 30. Trying to convince them that Ranked is more casual than sub lvl 30 is near impossible when the reality is that it is, I've even faced master ranked players at as low as lvl 10. I often get multiple lvl 30s with smurf friends vs 0 lvl 30s.

So what's the deal here Riot? Tired of all my friends quitting league because sub lvl 30 is so competitive... As far as environment and players I get the most rage and tryhards using every trick in the book at sub lvl 30 to stomp new players, normals people are more ragey and tryhard (I attribute that to poor matchmaking in normals) and ranked is the most casual environment likely because the games actually have people closest to your level.

TL;DR Tired of all my friends getting run out of the game by lvl 30s and smurfs. Ranked has become the most casual mode in the game.

@riot why do you allow top ranked players into low lvl games?

They're smurfs. There's no way to get people to stop making smurf accounts in a free game. They couldn't distinguish between them and their brother's account or something. It would be a lot better for new players without all the smurfs though. I recommend you play mostly against AIs and ARAMs before you get to level 30. That's what I did and it seemed pretty nice. ARAM is not nearly as competitive and you can try out new champions much easier than in Summoner's Rift. And the players are a lot nicer about what they say, too.

I totally agree. Leveling to level 30 is a nightmare.

I face lvl 30 players with full runes, full masteries, who are performing well in ranked. I even faced a diamond & platinum ranked when I was 18 or 19! Those game are so unfair, and most of the time these lvl 30 clearly carry their game. There is no fun whatsoever to play such games. I understand that some players want to introduce their friends to League of Legends, but if they don't have the decency to level up another character in parallel or to play co-op, I think that Riot should queue them against only lvl 30 players, not player for lvl 1 to lvl 30. This would be a solution easy to implement: if there is a level 30 in queue, the system should match that team with other level 30. This is really unfair to the 5 opponents who are just trying to lvl up and have some fun.
