sure, he was quite unskillful and broken, but he was ridiculously fun. every ability he had was AoE and clearing waves was the easiest thing to do in the game.

And the funny thing is, Riot's logic for changing him was that playing against him felt unfun, and unintuitive. Like you were going into a farm lane no matter what, and that trying to interact with a Morde in the solo lane usually came with the cost of losing a trade, or getting straight up murdered. Well, here's a funny story, not ONLY is he the same way in top lane right now (except he has so many more counters up there compared to his previous iteration), there's another champion that does that same exact thing, and Riot ENDORSES him! Can you guess who it is? : D

I used to play Topraka and could easily wreck Rivens and all the known bullies up there with my infamous banana, E target silence, banana harass lol all day. Second funnest champion after PreWork Morde.

Those days where I was threaten to be reported for "Troll picks" just to be chatted with "How is that even possible!" 5 4 mins into the game when I first blooded Rivens or when Udy couldn't catching me in the jungle. Or when I could be chase all riven by enemy team just to end up baiting them into a RakaPentaKill.

Good Ol times. Unfortunately, they are far gone.

At least, the main Nasus in me has grown so much ever since that he is now my current Morde, Just better in everything compared to Rework Morde. That's why I already stop caring for this piece of shit rework Morde felt victim of.

Unpopular opinion, old morde was horribly designed. No CC or gap closer and each ability was basically the same (Aoe damage that took your health away). Of course this doesn't mean he was bad, it's just my opinion he was incredibly boring with no depth at all.

I beg to differ. Cause you obviously cant FEEL the TOTAL SATISFACTION of walking into an entire fed team, BUT WAIT, you did nothing but farm for the last 20min and you get a pentakill and you feel like Lee Sin with Sight.

That chart isn't really that accurate IMO. Honestly it's about landing your W heal and using it sparingly to dominate lane. Pre nerfs that was true...

R-E-Q insta burst... I miss it so much, it was just beautiful. And he wasn't really unskillful, yes, his abilities were easy to use, but his lack of any utility and overall squishyness made it hard to properly engage without dying. And this made his playstyle so unique and SATISFYING!!! His playstyle was probably the most unique in the entire game and he was really fun to play. Ehh, I would give so much to be able to play old Morde once again.

Honestly, if they could just reset his kit, but keep the heal from W: I would be so happy. I don't even care if I lose the dragon, means I don't have to waste teleport everytime he's up to keep my team from spamming:

"Morde pet now!" "Morde drag" "Hey come get pet"
