Sona is disgusting right now...

I'm not even sure why they would even change her in the first place when there is other supports who haven't seen play for months now. To be honest sona was pretty balanced in my opinion, she was an all round support with clear weaknesses and strengths. What riot did was unjustified and has led to sona receiving probably the biggest buffs I have ever seen on a support in my years of playing. Which has led from her being fairly balanced into one of the strongest if not the strongest support of this patch so far.

I'm not sure what riot will do because her kit is very fragile and changing numbers could make her completely useless so I'm going to have to see how riot approaches this one in the next few weeks on pbe.

This is my opinion and if you have any other opinions or don't agree with me feel free to comment down below.

Pre-6.14, Sona was literally the one support that I DIDN'T want on my team. She still has her weaknesses, she brings a load of utility but is wet paper. Now she feels like a true-enchanter.

To be honest sona was pretty balanced in my opinion

She was underpowered.

She was one of the worst supports to have (Weak peel, low utility, worst heal in the game) and the easiest to kill/gank/etc.. Her only saving grace was her potential burst which Riot did not like so they toned down her burst and increased her utility. Good.

Don't worry though, Sona is currently 'overperforming' so she'll get rapidly gutted, unlike Ekko Fizz Yasuo Zed LeeSin

It is definitely still early, but op.gg data shows an 8% increase in win percentage, from 50.26% to 58.33%. That's the highest winrate for supports, and this data is from Platinum+. As a lowly Silver, I'm not certain this doesn't transfer in my elo range as well.

She is extremely strong right now, and I find it hard to believe that anyone would think that 67% CDR is not super strong on any champion, let alone one whose every basic ability can buff her entire team each cast. That's near URF levels.

Don't get me wrong, I love Sona and I appreciate them trying to do something to improve her viability, but this is a bit much.

Because thank all the whiny people on the forums begging for Sona buffs when she didn't really need them.

Though if anything, the buffs are at the right direction. Just give it a few tweaks and she should be good to go.

I am a sona main....I love the new changes. you can spam more, but you also run dry on mana faster. If you build right you wont have to worry about that though. I spam my ass off, and rarely run out of mana.

They were meant to be power-neutral changes to make Sona a more interactive and fun champion to play. The point was to make her more fun to play so that more people would play her. I still haven't seen a Sona yet this patch, so I can't say if I feel like she's stronger, weaker, or just the same. If they were unintentional huge buffs, then she'll probably get nerfed down a bit next patch. The changes to Leona were for the same thing, and again I haven't seen a Leona yet this patch, but on paper these ones really do seem like power-neutral changes or even nerfs. But, for both champions, if they were made too powerful by what was supposed to be power-neutral changes to make them more interesting and fun to play, then they'll likely be nerfed next patch.

I thought she was too weak before but too strong now.
