Dodging should be allowed.

In this discussion or post, I am going to address my thoughts on why dodging should be allowed in Riot Game's League of Legends. Thank you in advance to anybody who has decided to read this post, especially any Riot Games employees.

We are all familiar with dodging because we all do it to avoid losing LP when seeing that a team comp in champion selection is obviously going to lose the game. Recently in a report statement I made about this, the person who solved my report said "I understand you're having a hard time ranking up due to players picking weird champs in certain roles but that's part of the game. I know Heimerdinger isn't meta but he can indeed jungle".

Heimerdinger is jungle not meta like the rioter said. That means he's not effective at all these patches because there are much better junglers. The rioter says that seeing a weird champ select is apart of the game but why should I have to risk MMR and LP for it? MMR is so easy to lose but so hard to bring back up, that is why I have such a problem with this. Many of my games, I am forced to dodge because I will see picks such as Lucian top or Darius support. Support is by far the most important in the game, and I just cannot risk a "weird pick" with that position.

Now, I understand that dodging wastes time, but dodging is MUCH better than losing MMR and LP. I am not even joking, I dodge about 4 games per day because I see the most ridiculous team compositions. Remember Riot Games, League of Legends is a team oriented game, teamwork and team comp heavily influences the outcome. If a team composition has no chemistry, it will simply not work.

I will use probably the best solo queue player to ever exist in League of Legends as an example: Dopa. Yes, I watch his videos on how to climb because I want to become better at the game. Even he states that he dodges games that are not winnable. He is the player I got this strategy from after realizing that sometimes, Its just not worth the MMR and LP. Before, I would be afraid to dodge because I had already done it once, and again the penalty is large, but now it is not even a problem because I realized that with dodging, I have avoided many games that I know I would have lost.

Another reason I say allow dodging is because of trolls. Troll picks are common and people are forced to dodge and go through that 5 - 20 minute timer and lose that 3 - 10 LP. Now, I know I said before that dodging is something that does not bother me anymore because it is a strategy I use for climbing, but just the thought that I am literally forced to dodge because someone wants to ruin the experience of a great game for everyone else is what bothers me.

To conclude this post, I would like to again thank any person who has read this, I dearly appreciate it. Also, do not take this as me being mad at Riot Games, just my thoughts on dodging. The only reason I am here is because I have a love for the game, that is why I am taking the time to type up this post. So I would like to thank Riot Games for such a great game to enjoy.
