@RIOT illaoi not nerfed

illaoi still not nerfed. she builds full tank and still does more damage than she should. her tentacles are still op. her win rate must be through the roof. solo laning with illaoi is still ridiculous. it's nearly impossible to be able to 1v1 her in lane even if both are level 3. come on riot. admit that you made her op and nerf her. you nerfed soraka who only heals, made her more vulnerable, and you nerfed her keystone mastery but illaoi goes untouched even tho more people are complaining of her than soraka. do you really care about what the community thinks?

Illaoi can be pretty easily outplayed though, her Q has a huge windup, just move to the or right slightly, her Ult range is pretty small, (250 range or so) and has a windup that you can see coming if you move away during her animation you often will not be hit by it at all then the tentacle won't spawn. In teamfights this is harder to manage but if the team is mobile and doesn't clump up it's likely to not be too bad, it can be baited often by a single player and even dodged then too. Her tentacles have an animation that one can see during her W and so even that slap can be avoided if prepared for. Basically without good team support for Illaoi she's not really an issue if you learn to play against her.

TL;DR: Attack and move, attack and move. It's really hard for her to land skills if you don't simply let her.

honestly it doesn't matter if she lands skills. the random tentacles do all the work for her. if you're pretty immobile then you're just fked, plain and simple. those tentacles do 1/3 hp every time they hit anyone.

I honestly have mixed feelings on the idea of nerfing Illaoi. She does indeed have a decent damage output, but so do most top laners. She is not impossible to beat, however... considering her lack of mobility and the sheer ease of kiting her.

I understand PERFECTLY why people say she should be nerfed, but I can understand Riot holding OFF on the nerfs while discerning the legitimate concerns considering the huge counterplay available to this champion, and typical "OOOOH MAI GAWD CHAMPION DIFFERENT I DON'T LIKE DIFFERENT NERF NOW!"

thing is, i never had a problem with ekko, never had one with tahm, didn't think kindred was broken, but illaoi to me is just ridiculous. she builds full tank and still does 1/3rd hp with one tentacle. kinda hard to dodge the tentacles if you're an immobile top. i'd be okay if she were more like darius, by that i mean if he builds full damage, he hurts like a truck, if he builds full tank, he doesn't do 1/3rd of your hp with one hit. to me it's just logical.
