When minions get left Alone

I entered a practise mode to test some other feature. This meant that I left the lanes untouched, with minions toggled on. I was surprised to find that blue minions managed to push a fair bit better than the red minions - by 15 mins, the outer turrets of bot and top had been destroyed, with the blue towers hardly touched. Furthermore, after leaving the minions for another 7 minutes, the red minions hadn't at all pushed back - it is fair to say that blue minions would have won the game (I may test this in the future).

I wonder if this is to do with the minions AI, or whether it is the fault of the map - I noticed that mid lane was much less affected (can we view this lane as a control group?) so it could also have something to do with the pathing around top and bot, possibly also the inhibitor.

How many times did you do this? Because 1 game could just be a fluke.

I've done that about 3 or 4 times. Can confirm that it's happened to me, as well.

Off the top of my head, I remember noticing this awhile ago.

One side tends to target multiple minions, where the other side tends to target 1 minion and burst them down. I think blue - red side respectively.

This makes red minions push faster, but with less large grouping, where blue side get's larger pushes, but slower.

Also, once a tower breaks, minions get slightly beefier in defense for the side with more towers up, which makes it easier for them to push.

In most of my games, I've noticed blue side wins about 80% of the time though.

In tower order, it's usually bot, top, bot, mid, top, top inhib, mid, mid inhib, then it's basically game over. For red side, they have usually killed the top and 2 bottom towers, and are doing a massive push on bottom, when the game ends.

But yeah, the blue minions win a lot more then the red one's.

You need to test it more often

It's based on which group of minions target better. It also snowballs from there because of the %minion damage and % minion resistance that comes with pushing the lane.
