is it possible to get out of bronze?

every single ranked game no matter what. i am paired with people who fight each other, constantly flame each other, and make us lose games. this is not fair as it has been bringing down my rank and the whole system is just messed up. RANK DOES NOT MATTER ABOUT HOW GOOD YOU ARE, IT MATTERS ABOUT HOW LUCKY YOU ARE WITH TEAMS. every single game. I'm never lucky. if i jg, they feed lanes. if i lane, jg feeds. if i try and carry, they feed. HOW DO I GET OUT OF BRONZE. PLEASE HELP MEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE. honestly the rank system is corrupt. I've come to hate it so much. it reminds me of Donald trump.

Hey friend! You sound like you're having a problem and need assistance!

A little bit about me: I used to be Bronze 5. Back in the ELO system, I was at 700 ELO (that's so low, it's below Bronze 5 right now). I was there because my teams sucked. Because no matter if I did well, my team would throw. I was this for 2 seasons.

Now I just hit Diamond.

Let me tell you, it's not your team. I promise you. No matter how bad it looks, it's not your team holding you back. YES, there will be games where your team throws. But that doesn't happen every game. It's your gameplay that is Bronze 5.

Please don't just ignore what I'm saying and continue blaming your teammates for where you are. I want to help you:

Go to www.replay.gg This website lets you watch the replays of your games. Watch a recent game that you thought was your team's fault. When you do, don't move the camera from yourself. Watch every mistake you make. IGNORE everything your teammates did in that game, and ONLY pay attention to yourself. If you actually stay calm and analyze it, you'll be surprised at how much you're messing up.

This will help. I promise. You can carry yourself out!

If it was impossible to get out of bronze then elo boosters would be out of a job. Likewise, if it was impossible to get out of bronze then you wouldn't see pros/youtubers be able to get their smurfs to diamond no problem. Its absolutely possible, the question is are you good enough to carry your entire team on your back (which is what often has to happen for you to win in bronze.)

if you get toxic players literally every game you play, then you are, in all likelihood, the one bringing on the toxicity. You're the constant here, and as that is much larger than the normal amount of toxic players the average player has to deal with, you are probably toxic yourself and causing such outbursts.

Well, there is a way out of bronze, but you're not going to like it. You're going to have to get better. I know it seems like you just know your mechanics and stuff, but, believe it or not, if you belong in silver, then you should be carrying over half of your games all by yourself. I know I'm probably coming off as a bit of an asshole, but your teams are not always going to be toxic. Trust me, if you haven't been below bronze 3, then you have no idea just how far down the rabbit hole goes when it comes to horrible teammates. I went on tilt and got pushed down to bronze 5. You get some of the worst players I've ever seen. Imagine the worst player you've ever seen that wasn't intentionally feeding or disconnecting, think of them playing a little worse, and imagine each team having 1-2 of these players. It can get that bad sometimes in B5.

I can't help but notice you're playing a lot of difficult feast-or-famine champions, or champions that heavily depend on a gold lead. Might I suggest that you try some of the simpler champions?

For instance, you seem to play a lot of Vayne and Yasuo. Why not try Jinx or MF in the bot lane in normals? Why not try Annie or Lux in the mid lane? Of the 4, Jinx is the only one that seems outstandingly expensive, iirc.

Then, get your priorities straight. You will not believe how many people don't know this. Prioritize everything on this list in the following order, and I will bet that your play will improve:

  1. Not Dying
  2. Towers/Inhibitors
  3. Smaller objectives (Dragon, Baron, Rift Herald)
  4. CS (getting those gold income procs if you're support)
  5. Kills

If you want me to explain further, just ask. :)

Yes it is possible. I myself got out last month as a matter or fact; and it was not difficult at all.

Play very strong teamfighting champs; if playing support I highly recommend Velkoz since your adc wont be mad if you take kills (most of the time at least).

Solo carry champs are great as well like yi, xin, vayne, etc. Just make sure the enemy team can't lock you down.

Make sure your team comp is very cc oriented since that is what carries a LOT of games. If you lock down the enemy carry, you can win the fight - this is basically the fundamental rule of league (on of them at least). Know not to focus tanks and try to never be caught out. If you kill at least 2 of their members, push a lane AS 5 or take baron. Mid game stay as a group and try to pick enemies off that are vulnerable.

I think it's important for people in Bronze to realize that it doesn't get better for quite a while.

Even in Gold to Platinum 5 this happens frequently, and I'm a support main. The same stuff you're experiencing in Bronze right now will occur after you climb out of Bronze. So many people I notice think this way. They believe when they make it out of Bronze they'll be free to have enjoyable game after enjoyable game. In reality ranked can be stressful because of all the pressure. It's a competitive mode after all. Sparks can fly even in Diamond.

It's important to remain realistic. I think if you truly don't belong in Bronze right now, you can climb out of Bronze. It does take time though. SO many of my friends are actually really good players, but they squeeze in like 10 games a day of ranked and get really upset. They end up falling further back.

Don't expect to be Gold 5 by the end of the month please. Instead set realistic goals and recognize that it's only March. Even if you are truly at the level of a Bronze player, you have so much time to climb and improve! It's not a crime to be a lower ELO player.

should i just stop trying to play ranked just cuz of how messed up and inaccurate the system is?

Okay first of all Donald Trump is awesome. You should be mad at the establishment and the liberals.

JavelinJoe3/17/2016, 5:44:23 AM1 votes

Yes but it takes a crap ton of wins in a row so you have the momentum.

Dreadlocks3/17/2016, 5:42:17 AM1 votes

Yeah its not too hard.. but if you depend on your team every game its gana feel impossible.

I started playing league during the preseason 5 and went into ranked around 6 months later and got placed in silver 3. Then I dropped to silver 4 and stopped playing ranked because it wasn't funny to just watch your elo vanish. This season I got placed in bronze 3. I played a few games but had a negative w/l ratio. After loosing another 2 games in a row I decided that I no longer want to be in bronze and made the plan to only play Diana jungle until I'm out of bronze.

I won the next 5 games and got promoted to bronze 2. I lost 4 games in a row, but I lost no LP, because I was at 0 lp I won 3 games, I lost 1 game, I won 6 games, I lost a game - bronze 1 70lp I won 10 games in a row - silver 5 100lp

At the end I managed it to escape bronze in 25 games. Things that help me: -playing a single champ every game -playing solo -have a good mindset (I'm better than bronze) -mute everyone who flames -don't talk -don't care about the 0/10 botlane, it makes the game harder but not impossible to win
