Does anyone feel like League has been overall worse this season?

It just seems like everything is worse.

If someone wins lane, they flame whoever lost lane.

If someone loses lane, they flame everyone on the team, saying it was their fault

Match Making has just been god awful. I had an 80% winrate VS. Silvers, but then I faced Plats and Golds every game, I went on a loss streak and now im being matched with people with 30% winrates.

Balance is just really off right now, and there are so many OP champions that even 10 bans wont cover it.

People are giving up at 3-5 minutes just because botlane lost. (Rightfully so)

I get oneshotted by everyone, except Assassins.

All the masteries feel like shit except the ones that are over-tuned

Jayce is just ridiculous but he isnt getting nerfs, and Poppy is OP while getting nerfs to the wrong parts of her kit.

Watching Streamers isnt as fun anymore since they are all open mids.

All the Assassins are trash, or freelo. No in between. (As an assassin only player, this makes me sad. Especially since the only assassins I dont like playing are Kat, LB, Kha, and Rengo.)

Lunar Revel's event is just god awful. You need to pay just to participate. I want the discount shop thing back, but it cant be because of the new client.

All the rotating gamemodes are ascension and Poro King because of the new client.

Also, all the champions I like playing are either the ones that people hate, or they're getting reworks.

I honestly have never debated quitting before, but right now I am debating it. There are just too many problems with the game that it's just depressing. I dont have another game that I like playing right now, but if there was I'd be playing it.

Also Camille, CoC, and smite buffs removal came out and turned this season into a fiesta.

Riot really has stepped up their skins actually, but I still dont find the game more fun because of it.

S6 was the worst season, primarily because of DQ but also some item and champion imbalances dragged it down a lot.

My favorite seasons were S2 and S3. Around the release of Zyra was my absolute favorite time.... I will admit the game was a lot less strategic (Less options) but it was a lot more fun. It "Felt" like each champion contributed a lot more (Ex: Rammus felt way tankier back then, Soraka felt like she healed "better", Chogath felt "fatter" (that's what she said), etc.).

100% with you on this one.

Playing ranked is a total crap shoot. Its a matter of pure luck (thanks to a broken matchmaking system and a broken discipline system) whether or not you'll end up with trolls and feeders on your team, or those purely after the S, win or lose.

I think LP points should be based not only on the win, but also on how much you helped the team (KDA ratio, number of CS, number of objectives you got/assisted with, etc.)

people have been saying this since season 2.

i even remember the motives.

in season 2 everyone was complaining the game sucks because of the implementation of the tribunal.

in season 3 everyone was saying its worse than season 2 because of the ranked changes that implemented tiers/divisions instead of mmr.

in season 4 was the dismantling of the tribunal and replacing it with automated ban systems.

season 5 i forgot actually.

season 6 was DQ

and now in season 7 its everything apparently.

It is not just all of the points you posted either... there are many other things that feel like they're pulling the game down vs previous seasons.

More queue'd modes take away from each other (Flex vs solo), people taking things waaay too far (even in normal blind pick or ARAMS) more so than any previous season (at least by my accounts).

Matchmaking in general feels... "off" if that makes sense. And not just the occasional "how did I get matched vs diamonds" thing that people complain about (which I never see outside of super high MMR, or in my Normals).

It could be that other games that took attention away from league either fell out of favor (or were not very appealing) which brought fresh blood and vets alike back into the fold.

Could just be more pronounced negativity going as well (due to the problems you posted) and people feeling stressed or helpless and it just wears you down and becomes more noticeable vs previous seasons?

Things definitely feel different, but I can't solo place my finger on any one thing.

Honestly, at a purely objective level, the game is probably worse than ever. Not that it isn't fixable.

How to fix? Well, for starters, they need to fire Ghostcrawler who took the game in this direction, the direction towards zerg-like gameplay which no one likes.

Okay, 100% thought it was just me to be honest. I'm not a pro player so I'm not the best League player but I am smart at the very least. Season 6 came and kinda screwed me, but it was like a weird evolution of League that i had to learn over again to understand.

Season 7 however is a hot mess. Hot hot mess in my opinion and I don't want to leave this game because I've sunk so much time and money into it. I feel obligated to stay, but I've been having to stop playing League for the day after one or two games. I don't really understand what Riot is going for with these champion changes and item removals and additions.

I may be a bit ignorant to alot of the newer items, but I feel that Mages have been repeatedly punished Season after Season. Midlane used to be a risky lane of skillshots and techniques and now I'm just facing a bunch of Malphites and Singed mid. They just redid Leblanc and I see her more in ARAM and not Ranked or Norms(maybe my elo is the issue?) I'm tired of a Karthus trying to 1v1 one me after I punished him in lane and slapping him in the face as Syndra and then he calls my ultimate combo no-skill(Really, Karth?). However, a Garen can literally miss a ton of farm, get damaged over and over and, just walk up to me under turret and ult me and walk away like nothing happened.

Before champions could punish their opponent for dumb mistakes and miscalculations, but all that is naught when you are facing a Sion that has been unable to farm and keeps going back and he somehow musters up everything to dive you 1v1 under tower at level six and just kill you. Where is the reward for the player that is doing the work and farming the minions and hitting the skillshots?

Anyways, my point is. I feel that champions aren't balanced because they are making champions too "well-rounded". If you are tanky, mobile, and bursty and we haven't even ended laning phases yet I see that as a problem. I'm really tired of facing these all-tank comps with a Ziggs bot. That ish needs to go.

I legitimately can't even anymore. I've had my fair share of bad games (ie, they have a Katarina or Swain) but the highest I've gotten this season is 81 LP Bronze 2. I've fallen to B3 numerous times, ffs I even had 48 wards placed in a 53 minute match, double anyone else on the team.

I actually like the assassin update. I like the new assassins both playing with and against. Call me weird or whatever you want but the assassin update was the most successful class update for me. Besides that the whole game is in the worst spot it has ever been. The class updates are reworking 3-4 champions and balancing items around these said champions, completely ignoring all the others in the class all in the same time while breaking core elements of the game like jungle and objectives. I feel S5 was the peak of balance league could get (pre-juggernaught), from there on until now the reworks are done in the favor of "change" rather than fixing actual problems. The game balance is thrown out of the window. It is sad to see a good game thrown into the abyss and let rot just cause. I really hope riot assesses the situation the game is in, and start being a community-centered company just like they used to.

It's all about the player base to be honest.

Back in the day people didn't play stuff because it was stupidly strong, busted or simply the best option. People played whoever they felt was the coolest champ and chose their mains based on preference.

Kassadin might have been banned 100% of the time but nobody picked him in normals, I was able to face off against a different champion every single match. Nowadays people are just trying way too hard to just win.

It's better than season 6. Season 7 is still pretty bad, but i don't think any season will be as bad as season 6.

Every season has made the game feel worse for at least the past 3 years. They keep trying to make changes to keep the game "fresh" but all they've done is move further away from the formula which made the game fun.

To be fair, even though it's Season 7, Season 6 is still the 2016 Season and i feel like THAT Season is when these stupid changes got made. As if the shit from 2016 is what 2017 has to deal with. Literally the worst year ever.
