Well although in nemesis draft in bronze elo (not that I think it matters too much) I was given skarner which had amazing clear after first camp and amazing damage and great ganks after lvl6 I wondered why no one EVER uses him. He has a fair bit of cc and his ult is just amazing. So, is skarner considered op or good in the new jg? IF not then why?
(yes I noticed he falls off late game but still has good ult to catch off fed enemies or adc's)
PrinceOfStorms1 votesSkarner isn't all that great of a pick simply because he has to play like a farmville jungler.
The really great picks are the likes of Vi/Free Win/J4/Rek'sai who can clear 3 camps and then gank, whereas Skarner, in a vein similar to shyvana, relies on passive farming to be really scary.
In a nutshell, Skarner suffers from many of the same problems that Warwick and champions like them suffer from: there's no guarantee that your lanes won't have snowballed out of your favor by the time you hit 6 and are actually capable of ganks that are relevant.
Imperial Japan1 votesOh, thanks for explaining but when I played skarner I somehow got all of the camps in my jungle except 1. Could you hank at 3 since you would still have lots of hp to do so? I know his ganks arnt too good pre 6 but if he smiles the enemy I would think he could get damage off and pull out a successful gank
