How to rework Warwick and can he be a support currently?

2 parter! Get excited.

Hey there, Onwodori here.

Warwick is one of those champions from a bygone era. Where there are similar champs like Jax and Blitzcrank that are equally mechanically simple they have, at least, some flexibility in how you use their abilities. Jax can jump to wards and ally units, not just enemies and monsters. Blitz now has to be smart about when you use his E or else you end up slowed at an inopportune time. Perhaps you want to flash engage with Blitz's ult. That sort of thing.

Warwick? Nope. Out of 5 potential interactive skills, his Q and his ultimate are the only 'actives' -- the others are a stacking buff, an active buff and a toggle, sometimes buff-utility thing-sometimes-thing. And his Q and R are point and clicks, so don't get to excited.

That's boring as hell and makes for either an unstoppable wolf man that you can only run from or just something you can't really duel with.

Either way, it's not fun to play or play against. A rework is desperately needed, but I am not really sure how it'd be done. I had a thought today to rework Singed and Warwick simultaneously in order to re-create their shared lore and breathe some viability and interaction into their kits (I will fully admit that Singed has a fun kit, only he has a niche place at very best in play nowadays.)

Part 2 -- Can Warwick support currently? All of his strength is in his levels due to his passive and has utility surprisingly helpful for an ADC. Jump on the enemy adc or squishy support or roam mid and do just that. Wander the enemy jungle to put down wards and search for weak junglers with your E, potentially. That sort of thing. You also offer bush vision on weak targets and a big, attack speed AOE buff. Not too shabby. Plus, the new Rageblade is going to be nothing short of fierce on Warwick. Look it up.

It is not that desperately needed, at least not as much as taric, poppy and others. And nope, WW can't be a supp, he's item dependant and doesn't provide enough utility, he would only be a roam support, but would be almost useless in lane (especially per-6) his ult can be easily countered in a 2 vs 2 scenario, you can play him, but he's garbage as a supp. But I'm actually happy to see that there are so many people that woul want something done with him (no matter the reason).
