Why lux is consider a support role champion?

besides the shield ... she is pure damage and her ultimate skin justifies my arguement , because you have to deal damage to champions to unlock elements . which a support should heal, shield etc.. his team mate rather damaging opponents

She has support things on all her abilities besides her ultimate. Q roots, W shields, E slows.

Because Support doesn't mean "play it Botlane". And by shielding, slowing, Binding, and revealing areas Lux is a supportive Champion.

For the same reason that Shen, Trundle, Naut, Zyra, Nunu can be played support.

The word support isn't (supposed to be) defined by being a pansy that sits on the backline spamming heals and shields and calling it a day. That is a TYPE of support character. That isn't what supporting is as a whole. These same supports can also be played as carries for that same reason in the other direction.

trundle can play anywhere because of his crazy attack speed while shen can do that too because he is the most tanky champion on the game b4 rammus

This statement shows that you're definitely not worth talking about logics with.

Because "support" doesn't mean "enchanter". You can support your team by dealing damace, cc'ing enemies, or sniping enemies that would get away so your teammate at least gets assist gold among other things.

Or even better people call out in champion select screen "support" when they only build one support item item 2301 and then just build full AP. I wish normal supports were back into this meta.

Lux is an aggressive poke support, similar to Karma, Sona, and Nami. While she does have some helpful effects to boost her team's potential, primarily a poke support's job is to constantly keep pressure, zoning the enemy adc out with the threat of either high damage or hard cc. While you can build like an enchanter on Lux and be good, without damage you still fall behind. Typically I go item 2301 item 3020 item 3174 item 3504 item 3027 item 3089 .

Eye is obvious, so are boots. Athene's is critical on Lux, Ardent is mostly for the ap and the % boost to heals and shields (but the passive is good too, even gutted after the next patch). Rod gives mana, which Lux needs lots of, and health to prevent you from being curb stomped. Sustain in lane, and ap, a very good item. And Raba to finish it out since total this would give you about 430-450 ap (depending on your runes/masteries bonuses). It's supporty, but can still do damage, without being enchanter-built, or mid-lane build.

She isn't.

E is a vision tool with cc. She has all that she needs to support.
