Magic Resist Is Way Too Strong.

A Jax player can have item 3143 item 3047 item 3075 item 3748 item 3078 item 3026, which is about 350~ armor with ult activated and still die to a Lucian with item 3153 item 3036 item 3046 item 3087 item 3031 item 3047 in about 3-5 seconds, dealing about 1k dps to the 300+ armor Jax who is getting held back by a Poppy Janna

Thats fine...I guess, marksman with that build shouldnt be completely helpless to Armor stacking with new IE...But its still pretty BS that the marksman gets so much saftey while doing so.

Meanwhile a Mordekaiser with item 3116 item 3165 item 3151 item 3135 item 3089 item 3020 for a total of 800+ ap and 90% max hp damage in his kit while building full pen doesn't even half-health a Nasus with item 3194 item 3065 item 3025 item 3143 item 3047 item 3075 with a full combo...Now the thing is...Nasus was completely able to nullify 5k+ damage into 1k-1.5k~ magic damage with 2 magic resist items...two...whilst building full pen, and early in lane the Nasus builds item 3211 item 1033 item 1054 and reslove primary for second wind to nullify all poke and safely scale while eating combos without much of an answer aside from Wither.

AD builders are far more rewarded with the way armor interacts with reduction than AP builders are. Please consider either buffing armor to be equally as strong towards AD or at least make it so there is less options to a character who seeks to completely remove 90% of interaction in lane. Damage needs to be lowered on a whole, MR items need a change.

Thank you, AbyssmalHydra.

That's not to surprising tbh. If you didnt even complete gunblade yet. I beleive mundos w gives him more mr aswell. Combined with merc treads and cloak its not surprising at all

Dodge the Q's? Also, how many of your Q's did you hit? Even AP Ezreal gets most of his damage from Q because Q also has an AP ratio. These are 2 champions whose damage comes from a skillshot that the other can dodge pretty easily if they focus on dodging them.

it was early game i maxed W, with bone plating and those Mr items i pretty much did 0 damage even dodging his cleavers he just ran me down with his ult and once he landed 1 cleaver it was GG.

Maxed W first... Well, there's your problem. Ezreal's Q has a nice AP ratio on it too and it gets increased damage from the Sheen you buy. His W literally only exists for the attack speed steroid it gives to allies you hit it on (including yourself if you E into it). Looking up the actual ratios, yes, his Q has a 40% AP ratio compared to his W's 80%, but the Q also has a 110% AD ratio (including your base AD) and, after finishing Lich Bane, which you probably rushed if you didn't rush Archangel's, it has an additional 75% Base AD ratio (which is all you have) AND 50% AP ratio. Also, Gunblade might not be a bad idea on AP Ezreal. Gives you an extra burst button, slows down the Mundo running at you, and gives you about 40 AD I think which translates into 44 more Q damage.

Also, regarding the Mundo, his E has a passive that gives him 2% bonus MR every time he either takes magic damage or pays a health cost. In this matchup, I woulda rushed Tear and Sheen, then Gunblade, finished Sheen into Lich Bane, and then finished Tear into Archangel's.

Adaptive Helm reduces incoming magic damage from a spell or effect by 20% for 4 seconds after taking damage from said spell or effect. So, as Morde, your Q is a multi-hit (first hit does full damage, second and third do 20% less), your W is a DoT (any ticks beyond the first do 20% less), your E has a low enough cooldown that he can get the Adaptive Helm to proc on it to for another 20% damage reduction, and your ult is another DoT. Not counting base stats/runes, the nasus had 110 MR. MR has the exact same calculations as armor in that every 100 MR reduces incoming magic damage by 50% of the previous reduction amount, with the reduction amount at 100 being 50%. So, let's say he had an even 200 MR, just to be a bit kind with his base stats and runes. Your +15 flat pen from Morellonomicon and Sorcerer's Shoes reduce that to 170 MR, and causes you to ignore 40% of that remainder, leaving him with an effective 101.6 MR or about 51% magic damage reduction. The big issue here is that Adaptive Helm isn't magic resistance; it's damage reduction. So that 51% magic damage reduction is actually 71% because of the nature of the champion that you're playing. Even the 10% increase from Liandry's doesn't do much to help you deal damage to that Nasus.

The Lucian is also dealing 8% of the target's current health on every hit that's not piercing his armor, but neither is the 2% max health of your Liandry's piercing magic resistance and one of these numbers is quite a bit bigger than the other. Oh, and since Liandry's is another DoT, guess what's reducing that item's magic damage too! That's right, Adaptive Helm. And Statikk Shiv is also giving the Lucian burst magic damage that the Jax with no magic resistance isn't blocking.

Basically, don't blame the stat as a whole, just the individual item that is Adaptive Helm. And whaddaya know, 5000 damage divided by 71% damage reduction is 3550, meaning that that's the damage the Nasus blocked from you, leaving 1450 magic damage actually going through.

AD builders are not rewarded for their build patterns more than AP builders are. The two have the exact same interactions with their resistances. It's the champion you picked vs the item your opponent built. My advice? Don't pick Morde. He's one of the worst champions in the game and has been for a really long time. Don't play him. Seriously.

The nature of a champion with the highest scaling total in the entire game putting to use around 5 thousand damage base total to a character with 200 MR still being impervious to a character to full pen...yet you did not include the flaws in your own theory, a character with 4 armor items, and 32% reduction to crit is able to be killed by characters with items that serve the same purpose as they do on mordekaiser, except the jax had 330 armor...not 200.

Also. Please do not tell me what champions I can pick.

Please explain to me how my math has "flaws." I looked up the correct information on everything involved, including the equation for calculating armor and MR conversion to damage reduction. I also included the math on Adaptive Helm, and exactly why that item DESTROYS Mordekaiser. You completely ignore all the math, call my FACTS flawed without any statement as to how, and then declare that you're going to continue to play Morde even though he's among the worst champions in the game and gets his entire kit countered by a single item... and then you're going to complain about the game being unbalanced on the Boards because you're picking a champion that's very easy to counter. Makes perfect sense to me. Don't change.
