They didn't like our spears, our spears were too hard to dodge, our spears did too much damage. But no Riot said it's a staple, it's what makes Nidalee Nidalee, so they'd rather dumpster the 48% win rate champion like she was an old Evelynn instead of nerfing the spear (which nid mains don't use as their main damage source anyways). Well I think we've had enough practice aiming, they want to dumpster our champion? Let's show them what a Nidalee player can do...

let's laser the skin off their faces and fur off their backs.

I know nid mains aren't spearbots anymore, those days are long behind us. That said let us give back to the community by treating them the way they treated us, they don't like nid spears? Well I don't think they'll be very happy with a Viktor in a nid players hands but IMO it's what they deserve.

As somewhat of a Nid main, IMO you're spouting crap. The newest Nid nerfs are absolutely not in the right direction, but I'm also confused as to why I should change to Viktor instead of continuing to play a champion that I very much enjoy. I'll keep playing the champion until they're no longer fun for me (which this nerf won't accomplish) and no random forum member is going to convince me otherwise.

And as far as the spear being no longer the main damage source, why do most Nids max it first? It's absolutely an enormously effective damage spell and one that contains most of her outright burst in lane and lategame. Yes, her cougar form abilities are strong and effective abilities on their own, but most opponents are going to need to be hit by a spear to make things happen.

Most nids max it first because they turned her into a jungler, before that it was just spearbots that focused on it most.

Played nid since pre season 1, and it's exactly how I feel. Viktors laser is almost impossible to miss and the mechanics of the champions while being way different don't change the fact that people cry over being hit by the spear which can be replaced with being hit by a laser. I never did like nid middle, but I feel like the community really deserves viktors laser ATM.

Bruiser Nidalee (AD bruiser) traditionally maxed E first in lane, allowing her to outsustain and grind down her lane opponent, chasing them from top. Midlane Nidalee (AP carry) traditionally maxed Q first, allowing her to poke down her lane opponent without much risk while maintaining a lower mana cost heal that scaled well with the AP she'd pick up. Like it or not, "spearbot" Nidalee is generally how she's played right now (in or out of the jungle) simply because of the effectiveness and damage you gain from maxing Q first. It's her most effective and consistent way of proccing her hunt debuff and allows her to put down good damage followed up by great damage.

And as for changing characters, I don't play Viktor. I don't particularly like him. If you want to go play him as some sort of weird "revenge" agains the community, feel free. But don't presume that every other Nidalee player is going to follow your lead, especially given that you're telling them to abandon their main and go play someone who's a very different experience to play. Go ahead and switch to Viktor, I'll probably still be playing Nidalee as part of my rotation.
