A more interesting Syndra passive

A few weeks ago, I remember seeing a post about the most boring passives, and Syndra's passive was one of the most frequently talked about.

As a reminder, Syndra's passive essentially powers up her abilities when they reach max rank. Q deals more damage to champs, W slows for longer, E has a wider cone and R gets increased cast range.

Now the issue people had with this passive isn't that it is weak; on the contrary, most of the max rank skill buffs are powerful. However, it doesn't really make any difference to how a person plays Syndra. The only gameplay decision that it promotes is maxing a skill by level 9 in order to gain the buff, which everybody does on every champion anyway. Therefore, this skill doesn't impact the gameplay of Syndra in any way, besides giving her extra power.

I'm not suggesting we remove this passive; but it could very easily be moved to the tooltips of her basic skills to allow room for a passive which will make a real impact on how Syndra plays.

The suggestion I'm about to give is one I've thought about almost since Syndra's release, but am sharing now.

New Passive: Syndra's ability power is increased by X (or maybe X%) for each dark sphere that exists on the battlefield.

So let's look at how this would affect Syndra. Right now, with good control of her spheres, Syndra can have up to 3 spheres on the ground at a time, and then increase this value by to 6 by using her ultimate. The only significant reason to have good sphere control is to boost her ultimate's power a bit. However, if Syndra's use of dark spheres contributed to her overall damage, it would increase the power of ALL her abilities per dark sphere, thus making sphere control much more important.

I imagine something like 4% bonus AP per Sphere. It's not a huge amount (less than a Deathcap even with 6 spheres out) but enough to make

This would raise her skill ceiling. It might also mean that some ratios have to be altered in order to prevent her being OP, but I think that Syndra should have her peaks and troughs in power. Slightly weaker than currently with less than 3 spheres, but stronger than currently with 3+ spheres. When she's got no spheres out, she's at her most vulnerable, but when she's got 3 or more out, you'd better run.

Also, her ultimate's name is Unleashed Power. I think that thematically, it makes sense to have her ability power spike for a short duration after using this (because she's just acquired 3 extra spheres).

Thoughts?

tl;dr Keep the old passive, but move it to ability tooltips. Add new passive that rewards good sphere management with bonus AP.

Passive grow up with spells'level, not at level 5 or/and Passive buff every spells: dark sphere +15% damage +X range + X% sphere's duration + X area ( maybe nerf at this point, it'll begin to become too "op" especially if every spells will be buffs by the passive) at level 5 or like I said previously.....
