ARAM "A player has left during champion selection"

If there's anything that tilts me in this game, it would be this. It just seems to happen literally every time I get a nice champion, team comp or if someone uses the RP boost. I have had someone dodge five times in a row and each time I got someone I owned until I eventually landed Braum, who I can't figure out how to play even if my life depended on it. Three of those five games I had some team mates already tilted and ranting in chat because they had lost rerolls because someone dodged, then never saw them again because "A player has left during champion selection." before I could even respond to them.

Please, please. Make it so you don't lose rerolls if someone on the other team dodges, make it so you have the option to keep the champion you had if someone on the other team dodges. I've made a thread on this issue more or less for ranting but I want to see this change because as it stands now the hardest part in ARAM is getting in game because if one of the ten players is leave, the game boots out everyone else putting them back into q because one person didn't like the champion they ended up with. And the worst part? They can do it all over again because even if they get hit with punishment they just afk for a bit before they try their luck again. Yes, any form of punishment is better than nothing but just the sheer number of times a game can't start because someone leaves just proves that it's still viable to dodge.

And yes I've been told you only lose rerolls if you're the one that dodges but I know from experience this is not the case. I've never gotten a reroll back after someone else dodges, I've had already tilted team mates ranting for the same reason. Whatever the system is doing it's not working as intended. I'm not sure on how reliable the system is at recognizing who is the dodger but I assume it is good enough to hand out punishments. So in addition to the wait time the system should also add a tally to the account and should too many accumulate appropriate action will be taken.

I just want to see this stop already cause it just sucks out the fun in ARAM, I love how random the teams can get but it's kinda pointless when there are one trick ponies dodging until they get their one champion.

Well you lose potentially IP and rerolls. But as one person once reminded me, it could always be worse - they might lose nothing. At least there is something in place. A longer wait time for dodging (another 2 minute wait) would be a nice addition, though.

I agree with what you're saying, but how can you not figure out how to play Braum? He has a very basic kit..

If someone dodges You get back both your reroll and rp spent on skin boost. Someone dodging does nothing but change which champ you play once you get back.

In my experience you won't get the re-roll(s) back IF it is either you or one of your premade friends who dodges the match. I haven't ever used the skin boost option, so I have no experience about refunding of that. Also, I don't experience dodging that often. It does happen, but who cares; We will get brand new champs for free only a minute or two later. :)

PS: I didn't know where is also some kind of IP penalty for the dodge in addition to the 15 minute+ time penalty. I haven't ever noticed or heard about that before.
